Happy Friday! Take a look at the list of new releases and see what floats your boat. There are a few I am really excited and interested to hear, but one of those I don’t have much hope that it will be good (Bon Jovi). The ones I will be attacking first are highlighted in Blue.
- Bon Jovi – This House Is Not For Sale – (Island Records): Bon Jovi’s track record over their last 3-4 albums has been piss poor. A couple songs I have heard so far suck!!!, but some were decent. Still doesn’t give me much hope that this will be any good. I will still listen off the extreme hope that one day they will find glory again.
- Robbie Williams – The Heavy Entertainment Show – (Robert Williams/Farrell Music): I am a huge Robbie Williams fan. I have never understood how he didn’t have much success stateside, but that is okay as I like him anyway. Eagerly anticipating this release. I am sure it will be great. Read my post on the Top 20 Robbie Williams songs. I wonder if any of these songs will force me to update that list???
- Pretty Maids -Kingmaker – (Frontiers Music Srl): Pretty Maids is a great hard rock band that been around since 1981 and the 2 original founders of the band are still going strong. Always consistently great, heavy guitars and hoping for more of that on the new release.
- Glenn Hughes – Resonate – (Frontiers Music Srl): After hearing the amazing first single “Heavy”, I am super stoked to hear the rest. He has been performing for more years than I can remember and has been the lead singer for Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Black Country Communion and California Breed and of course his solo works. Here is to more magic from the “Voice of Rock”.
- Alicia Keys – Here – (RCA): Alicia Keys is back with a new album and life is right again. Her voice is amazing and could soothe the savage beast. I haven’t heard anything yet, but it doesn’t matter. It will still get added to my library and I will love it.
- The Fray – Through the Years: The Best of the Fray – (Epic Records)
- Roth Brock Project – Roth Brock Project – (Frontiers Music Srl)
- Graham Bonnet Band – The Book – (Frontiers Music Srl)
- Queen – Queen on Air – (Hollywood Records)
- Common – Black America Again – (Def Jam Recordings)
- Travis Scott – Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight – (Epic Records)
- Brian Setzer – Rockabilly Riot: Osaka Rocka! – Live in Japan 2016 – (Surfdog Records)
- Mother Love Bone – On Earth As It Is: The Complete Works – (Universal Music)
- Hammerfall – Built to Last – (Napalm Records)
- Chris Robinson Brotherhood – If You Lived Here, You Would Be Home By Now – (Silver Arrow Records)
- The Kentucky Headhunters – On Safari – (Plowboy Records)
- Kaiser Chiefs – Stay Together – (Kaiser Chiefs)
- Dark Tranquility – Atoma – (Century Media)
- Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions – Until the Hunter – (Tendril Tales)
- Susan Boyle – Wonderful World – (Columbia)
Williams never generated much attention in Canada either – though just as well, I like my UK friends grew tired of him by overexposure, I’m a fan though!

I’ve given up hope on Jovi since The Circle. The Queen set is my must-buy this week. Quite intrigued by Glenn Hughes too though.

The Glenn Hughes one is promising after hearing Heavy. Great song.

Just read someone compare it to his Addiction album which is promising. That’s one of my favourites of his.

So many people have dropped off. They just aren’t the same as they were.

I’ll tell my sister about the new Chris Robinson, although she likely already knows. I want that Mother Love Bone, too, but cost might be prohibitive. Curious about the Glenn Hughes and Pretty Maids too.
Nice one!

The MLB one is pricey. Can’t wait to hear Hughes and a pretty Maids. Haven’t had the chance yet.
