Christmas Music!! Who doesn’t love Christmas Music?? Well, a lot of people. Let’s celebrate that music this week as I am sure you are either still listening to Christmas music or you are ready to stab your ears with a pencil so you don’t have to listen. There are just under 2 weeks left to Christmas, where do you stand on Christmas Music?
Enjoy!!
There are two camps on Christmas Music.
Those who Love it…
And those who HATE IT!!
Me, I only like Christmas Music on my Birthday…as that is my Birthday. I am in good company as I know some one else who likes Christmas Music on their birthday…
And if you aren’t in the Christmas Spirit…this man can change that…
I found myself hating Christmas music, and then had a realization. It is just like other music… you have to dig a bit to find the good stuff.
Sheree Plett & Jeremy Eisenhauer are favorites now… https://shereeplett.bandcamp.com Good if you enjoy sort of folk/country/rock. Both “Lights Used to Shine” and “Out Under The Sky” are excellent Christmas albums.
Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings have “Holiday Soul Party”, which is a fun one.
The worst is department store playlists… they are typically just all the most obnoxious versions of popstar Christmas tunes.

I have to be in the mood for it and that mood does not come around very often. I have avoided up until this past weekend when my wife and kids had it on while they baked cookies. At least the cookies were good.
I am not familiar with the bands you mentioned, will need to check them out. thanks.

My post today is partly about why Christmas music has to be bad music too? Operation Ivy could be Christmassy!

I’m a Christmas music fan – and I’m with the others, Buble’s the standout!

Both cat ones are in the “Hate” column. Just sayin’

We have three cats and they have never asked me to play Christmas music so I am not surprised they are in the hate column.

I escaped it this year for the most part. Only when my family was baking cookies was there ever any Christmas music on.
