Friday New Releases – April 13th

Welcome to a pretty slow week.  Only one I am interested in this week and there aren’t a ton of others coming out.  Hopefully next week will bring us more.  However, it might be a good week to catch up on earlier releases as I am sure that is what I will be doing.  My choices are in Blue.  Let me know if there is anything you are interested in as well.

  • 81EGj2+qBCL._AC_UL115_  Breaking Benjamin – Ember – (Hollywood Records):  We thought the band was over in 2009, but it returned in 2015 although it wasn’t the original band, just the singer.  Didn’t matter, it was the singer I always liked so glad to hear some new music from him.  This time the new band was involved in the writing so hopefully will add a new layer to the band.  We will see…or hear I guess.

  • 71SLhyrtHdL._SX522_  Metallica – The $5.98 EP: Garage Days Re-Revisited – (Blackened Recordings):

  • 4118wpv0sLL._AC_US436_QL65_  Pentatonix – PTX Presents: Top Pop Vol. 1 – (RCA)
  • 61sxhZo9krL._AC_US320_QL65_  Bonfire – Temple of Lies – (AFM Records)
  • 613R6fYyw5L._SS500  Jason Aldean – Rearview Town – (Macon Music LLC)
  • 51BeLxkDdwL._AC_US436_QL65_  Andy Gibb – The Very Best Of – (Capitol Records)
  • 51wwc7M9GLL._AC_US436_QL65_  Behemoth – Messe Noire: Live Satanists – (Metal Blade Records)

        1. There isn’t a ton of stuff I am interested in, but I got to have the Def Leppard Live EP and I would love to get my hands on another Bowie Live album. Stacked Actor from last year is one of my favorite live albums I own.

  1. Not much getting my spider senses tingling, though I have been mulling over rushing out to buy Josh T. Pearson’s The Straight Hits it just waiting.

  2. I should be into the Behemoth as I will be seeing them in concert next month (opening on the Slayer farewell tour, amongst other bands too), but the John Prine interests me the most! The Metallica, well, sure.

I have my pennies saved up for the pre-order of the new Stephen Malkmus in May, too. That’s a definite!

      1. Yeah it’s gonna be great. I have the day of the show AND the day afterwards off from work, we’re gonna crash in Toronto that night, record shop the next day… Life is sweet! The show’s listed as Behemoth, Anthrax, Testament, Lamb Of God and SLAYER! \m/ \m/ so it’ll be one helluva brutal afternoon/evening of metal. So awesome.
