Shinedown…they have been catching so much heat as if they were the new Nickelback. I can see it, fans like to poke fun of bands who don’t change their sound too much and write catchy, enjoyable tunes and tour successfully. It seems to piss people off…I don’t get it. Okay, I do a little with Nickelback, but not Shinedown. I like them…there…I said it. I like Shinedown. If you got a problem with that…I don’t give a shit!! Now, let’s poke fun of the band, as that is always okay.

I feel that way with my kids music. I do like Shinedown, give them a try. Maybe start with the earlier albums.

OK, I gave most of Sound of Madness a spin. I don’t see the Skynrd comparison, but I do get the Nickleback one. I guess the hate mostly comes from those with retail jobs and such who are forced to listen to these bands.

The Skynrd Comparison is strictly because they covered one of their songs. They don’t sound like them. But yeah, the Nickelback comparison is spot on.
