Friday New Releases – July 15, 2022

Things have been busy at work so time has been limited and thankfully for me and my wallet, this week is lacking in things I am eager to hear. I need to catch up on everything I’ve purchased lately. There are a ton of releases so hopefully you will find something new to hear. Let me know what that might be and if we missed anything this week. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend!!

              1. Good point. Still, she definitely had more spotlight with Alice. With Demi she’s definitely more in the background. But I think her exposure will go through the roof. Millions saw her play last night.

      1. I say good for her. National TV exposure last night on Kimmel, exposure to a legion of new fans. In fact Nita may inspire many young girls now, where before her audience was mostly male. Not to mention she’ll be making more money.

        1. It is a good thing for her! Exposure will be great and I bet she gets a moment that is all hers during the show while Demi does a wardrobe change or something. It will be good. I loved her with Alice though. She’s great!

  1. Did you hear about that whole Lizzo controversy for her new album this week? They came after her for using the word spazz in one of the songs, which is apparently an unforgivable slur now. She changed the lyrics because of it.

      1. Yeah. It’s something parents call their kids if they’ve had too much sugar. I’d never heard it refer to people with cerebral palsy until now.

  2. Spazz is a slur? That’s news to me. I haven’t heard someone say that in twenty, maybe thirty years.

Demi looks to be seeking some rock credibility by bringing on someone like Nita. Maybe Nita moved so she would see any more men’s underwear up close?

    I might check out Interpol.

    1. Some person with cerebral palsy got butt hurt on Twitter about it. She called it an “ableist slur.” So no one found it offensive until she whined about it.

Lizzo should have doubled down and changed the lyric from spaz to retard.
