There is only one album this week that even matters. I am not sure why I have the rest on the list. This album is something the world needs in what has been such a crappy year. And we will get to the one in a minute. There are a bunch of other releases this week as the last few weeks have seen an abundance as well so the trend continues. My choice is highlighted in Blue. Let me know what you want to hear and what I may have missed. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. Let’s get to the one that matters!!!
ALBUM OF THE WEEK!!!!
- AC/DC – Power Up – (Columbia Records Group): YES!! AC/DC IS BACK!!! The first single, “Shot in the Dark”, is what we needed and is typical AC/DC. And typical AC/DC is what we need right now. I have the Light Box Special Edition CD on order and it should be here shortly. I can’t wait to plug it in and light up the room and I can’t wait to play the CD cranked up to 11 on the Stereo. I don’t think anything else needs to be said!! Get It and Crank It NOW!!!
And here a few I might listen to when I have time…
- Chris Stapleton – Starting Over – (Mercury Nashville)
- Johnny Cash – Johnny Cash and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra – (Sony Music)
- Elton John – Jewel Box – (EMI / Universal)
And here are all the rest…
- Keith Richards & the X-Pensive Winos – Live at the Hollywood Palladium – (Mindless Records / BMG)
- Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons – We’re The Bastards – (Nuclear Blast)
- L.A. Guns – Renegade – (Golden Robot)
- Doro – Magic Diamonds: Best of Rock, Ballads & Rare Treasures – (Rare Diamond Prod)
- Aesop Rock – Spirit World Field Guide – (Rhymesayers Entertainment)
- Sara Bareilles – More Love: Songs from Little Voice Season One – (Epic Records)
- Andrea Boccelli – Believe – (Decca Records / Universal Music Group)
- Shenandoah – Every Road – (Foundry Records)
- Josh Abbott Band – The Highway Kind – (Pretty Damn Tough)
- Goodie Mob – Survival Kit – (Organize Mob / Goodie Noise Worldwide)
- Â Lunatic Soul – Through Shaded Woods – (KScope)
- Â 12 Stones – Smoke and Mirrors Volume 1 E.P. – (MTown Records)
Some things in life need to be relied upon – thank you AC/DC!
Also liking Doro, and Aesop Rock is cool.

Man nothing there for me this week… but boy; the difference between Keith’s voice on his studio albums whereas it’s far from strong but clipped and kept in check vs live is, how to say this diplomatically, revealing.

Well, when your like 200 years old, I imagine the voice isn’t the same đŸ™‚

You are right, my bad. Once you get over 140, I lose track.

WHY ARE THE REST OF THESE ALBUMS ON HERE WHEN AC/DC IS THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS?!?!? Nah, but seriously! I ordered my album a bit late and it won’t be here for a couple of weeks, but I am pumped!!!

Here’s a little secret…Not everyone likes AC/DC! I know…shocking. Some people are weird like that, but I need to keep something on there for them. My CD Light Box should be here tonight even though it says tomorrow. Can’t wait to crank it.

I guess that’s true, I know a music youtuber that is not a fan of AC/DC, but I respect his reasons for it. I hope the lightbox was worth it cause it was expensive, even on Amazon! That’s why I just ordered the CD. I’ll be waiting for your review on it John!

You might get a review, depends if it wins my You Pick It vote.

Isn’t Keef re-release from 80’s concert? I think I have the original…

It probably is from either the 1988 or 89 run or the early 90s.

Sorry, I don’t know the answer to that one.

Well said about the new AC/DC – AC/DC sounding like AC/DC might be just what is needed right now!

I think it is. I’m glad I got it now.

If that Keef record has extra tracks over the original version I have here it’s immediately going on my Christmas list. And ACDC will happen oh yes

I don’t know on the Keef. I only put it on here because I figured people like Keef.

Me included! I had a quick look online and it seems to be the same 13 tracks, so just a re-issue. Probably a remaster. On colour vinyl too, which is nice, but I’d prefer a bonus track or something.

Agree, re-issues have to have bonus tracks.

Otherwise, what’s the point? Then again, this is a live show, so maybe there aren’t any more tracks!

good point…but maybe somebody recorded soundcheck or something like that??? đŸ™‚

Maybe, I dunno. His work with that group was limited, compared to his day job, so maybe we’re just lucky to get what we did! Lightning in a bottle. It’s a great show.
