You Pick It! – What to Review in December?

You, my reader, are going to pick an album for me to review each month.  It is really simple…first, I will give you 5 albums to choose from and second, you will tell me which one of those you would like to see reviewed on the site.  See…simple! Now, if you want to cast more than one vote, comment on the Twitter and Facebook post and you could get up to 3 votes on your favorite pick.

There are no longer rules for my selections, maybe themes.  I’m just picking albums in my collection and this time they are classics from the 70’s. What are the 5 albums you ask?  Funny you should ask because I have them right here…

Alice Cooper – ‘Billion Dollar Babies’

   Elton John – ‘Captain Fantastic’

    Rolling Stones – ‘Sticky Fingers’

   David Bowie – ‘Diamond Dogs’

Led Zeppelin – ‘Led Zeppelin II’

Let me know which one you would like to see and sometime in December, I will post a review of the album that gets the most votes. You have one week to decide and from there I will start listening to the album and do a review.

Thanks for participating!!

  1. God damn it, man. That’s too many good choices. I can’t decide between Alice Cooper or Led Zeppelin. FUCK! I’m voting for Zeppelin, but if they lose change my vote to Alice Cooper.

  2. I finally got a copy of the zipper sticky fingers LP recently!
So I’ll vote for that – when I saw the picture preview before reading the post, and saw 5 absolute keepers I was slightly confused, remembering that usually there was 1 outside your usual wheelhouse.
Then I read the restrictions were lifted, it all makes sense now!

      1. It feels like one of those ‘must-haves’ in an LP collection – it’s funny, the copy I have, the vendor was nice & did a full disclosure as to the condition.
He showed me that the 2nd side, tracks 2&3, were imperfect. As he determined, that’s where the zipper must have been bumping up against the vinyl in a crowded bin of LPs at some point!

  3. Do any of these albums need to be reviewed? 5 classics from early 70s’ish time period. But for shits & giggles let’s hear what ya got for those glammy glittery damn Diamond Dogs.
    Happy Sunday all, Let’s go J E T S

  4. I guess I’ll go with Alice because I’m curious about that one! Alice Cooper is an artist I’ve been meaning to check out, but I haven’t fully dived into him yet. I would’ve chose either Zeppelin or the Stones though.

            1. Great that we’re on the same page here. I feel that with expansive alums like Graffiti or Exile you discover something new with each listen, while certified classics like IV are kind of set in stone.

                1. Right on, it’s rare that a band can sustain that level of quality for a single album, let alone a double one. Sandinista is a different story though:)

                    1. Yeah, it’s like a demented version of the White Album. There’s probably a great double LP in there somewhere, but you have to work hard to find it
