You, my reader, are going to pick an album for me to review each month. It is really simple…first, I will give you 5 albums to choose from and second, you will tell me which one of those you would like to see reviewed on the site. See…simple! Now, if you want to cast more than one vote, comment on the Twitter and Facebook post and you could get up to 3 votes on your favorite pick.
There are no longer rules for my selections, maybe themes. I’m just picking albums in my collection and this time they are all from the 90’s. I’m not a huge fan of the 90’s so my collection is limited and don’t expect grunge. What are the 5 albums you ask? I have them right here…
Saigon Kick – ‘The Lizard’ (1992)
Queensryche – ‘Hear in the Now Frontier’ (1997)
Stryper – ‘Against the Law’ (1990) – Apparently I’ve reviewed this so don’t pick it. My memory sucks!!
Arcade – ‘Arcade’ (1993)
Collective Soul – ‘Collective Soul’ (1995)
Let me know which one you would like to see and sometime in February, I will post a review of the album that gets the most votes. You have one week to decide and from there I will start listening to the album and do a review.
Thanks for participating!!
Queensryche

I’ll pick Queensryche since I really liked Hear in the Now Frontier, but it doesn’t get a lot praise so would love to hear your take on it.

If it wins, I’ll let you know by next week. If it doesn’t, we will do a dual review regardless.

FYI, I bought Stryper’s album after your review. You weren’t wrong.

Good morning all, happy Saturday. I’ve had conversations w/ people about the ‘best’ musical decade, I personally think the 90s wins it, but I’m also a big grunge fan, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Mother Love Bone etc…Nice group of choices here, I also think Queensryche’s “Hear in the Now…” is an underrated album which didn’t get much luv. But I was a huge fan of Saigon Kick back in the day so I’ll go w/ the Lizard as my choice.
Btw if anyone’s interested I’m doing a radio show from home Monday from 12 – 4 pm NY time on Makerparkradio.nyc. Feel free to shoot over any song requests or suggestions. Take care all.

hopefully not too late – I’ll choose Queensryche. I listened to this album a few times back in the day and my response was a big “meh”. Would love to hear what you think of it now. Thanks for the writeups!!!

Nope, it actually helps as Queensryche was tied for first going in today and I’ve gotten 2 more votes for them, so, it might end up the winner.

Hey people. Listening right now to Alter Bridge, don’t know if anyone out there is a fan? Myles Kennedy & Mark Tremonti, damn they make some epic quality hard rock/metal in my humble opinion. Seeing their tour tmw here in NJ w/ them, WVH (Wolfgang Van Halen’s band) & Red opening. Should be quality evening of RnR. Take care all…

I liked Alter Bridge at first, but got bored with them. I wouldn’t mind seeing them live especially with two great opening acts like Red and Mammoth!!
