Happy Friday, it couldn’t get here quick enough. There are a handful of releases this week. Nothing has me overly excited, but there are a few I will give a listen. Those will be highlighted in Blue.
Sting – 57th & 9th – (A&M): I haven’t listened to much of his stuff lately, but figured with the limited releases this week I would give it a try. No big expectations, so hopefully won’t be disappointed.
Rik Emmett & RESolution 9 – RES9 – (Provogue): The former Triumph singer is back. I was so pumped when I heard he was putting out new material. He even teams up with former bandmates…Cool!! However, early comments don’t sound promising. Doesn’t matter…he has earned enough cred for me to give it a spin.
In Flames – Battles – (Eleven Seven Music): I only want this release as I need a metal album to listen to as it has been a long week. Don’t know much about them so don’t know what exactly to expect, but I just want loud and heavy right now.
Blue Rodeo – 1000 Arms – (TeleSoul Records): Some fellow bloggers speak highly of this Canadian band so I figured I would see what all the hubbubs about. My expectations are high!
Pink Floyd – The Early Years, 1967-1972, Cre/ation – (Legacy):
David Bowie – Legacy – (Sony Legacy)
Ty Herndon – House on Fire – (BFD)
Nathan Sykes – Unfinished Business – (Global Entertainment)
Simple Minds – Acoustic – (Caroline International)
Robbie Robertson – Testimony – (Capitol)
Joan Armatrading – Me Myself I World Tour – (SLG, LLC)
Leon Redbone – Long Way From Home – (Third Man Records)
Joe – #MyNameIsJoeThomas – (Plaid Takeover)
Enigma – The Fall of a Rebel Angel – (Republic Records)

Nice to see Blue Rodeo make an appearance!
