My Sunday Song – “Lips On You” by Maroon 5

My Sunday Song #88 is going to get downright sexy.  The song of choice this week is “Lips on You” by Maroon 5.  The song is off their most recent album ‘Red Pill Blues’ which was released back on November 3, 2017.

The song was co-written by Adam Levine with a slew of people including Kasher Hindlin, Jason Evigan and two people that are all over the charts right now, Julia Michaels and Charlie Puth.  With that many people involved, I would hope a good song would come out of that collaboration and let me tell you…it sure as hell did!!

This is probably my favorite song on the album.  The deep bass, the slower groove and the lyrics are all so damn hot.  When you throw in Adam’s voice, you have pure magic.  This is one song that should be played when you want to get busy and it will make your partner swoon and turn them in to jelly.  The lyrics will guid you through what you should do.  If this doesn’t do it, let me know and we will file a complaint with Maroon 5 and Charlie Puth.

Nowadays you don’t make mixtapes for anyone, you do a playlist and I actually did one for the wife that were songs that made me think of her and yes, this one was included.  That is all you need to know!!!

Give it a listen and let me know what you think!!  Enjoy and Happy Sunday!

“Lips On You”

Keep me connected, to you
Like I was your shadow
You’re givin’ me answers
To all of my questions
Here on my pillow, oh
Can’t nothing get in between us, baby
We’ve been waiting on this moment for so long
You wanna be reckless, restless
Right until tomorrow
Wait

When I put my lips on you
I feel the shivers go up and down
Your spine for me
Make you cry for me
When I put my lips on you
I hear your voice echoing all through the night for me
Baby cry for me
When I put my lips on you (when I, when I, when I)
When I put my lips on you (when I, when I, when I)

Just turn off the lights
And you could be my private dancer
When we close the curtains
You and me can forget all the manners
The neighbors must think we’re crazy, baby
Cause look how easily we keep coming undone
You wanna be reckless, restless
Right until tomorrow
Wait

When I put my lips on you
I feel the shivers go up and down
Your spine for me
Make you cry for me
When I put my lips on you
I hear your voice echoing all through the night for me
Baby cry for me
When I put my lips on you (when I, when I, when I)
When I put my lips on you (when I, when I, when I)
When I put my lips on you (when I, when I, when I)
When I put my lips on you (when I, when I, when I)

When I put my lips on you
I feel the shivers go up and down
Your spine for me
Make you cry for me
When I put my lips on you
I hear your voice echoing all through the night for me
Baby cry for me
When I put my lips on you (when I, when I, when I)
When I put my lips on you (when I, when I, when I)
When I put my lips on you (when I, when I, when I)
When I put my lips on you (when I, when I, when I)

    1. They are not the same band as they were. Before they felt like a band, now they are an Adam Levine showcase and the music is like everything else on the radio. No originality. This was one of the very few highlights off the latest album for me.

  1. I love maroon 5 (Adam Levine) i must say that I’ve been a fan since I first saw your duet with Rihanna. Your voice and the your band is very unique that I instantly became a fan. I am going to be honest by saying there several song that you guys have on your albums that I love playing over and over and I also love the duet with Stephen Marley I believe that’s correct. I must admit this song lips on you is by far the best song in my opinion from of maroon 5. It’s the most mature and.
well-rounded song that I have ever heard from you guys. This song touches the core of you sensuality and sexuality from the first verse to the melody in the song. The message that the song conveys to me is the confidence that come from how grounded you guys are in being a great husband, a father and most importantly by being happy in your own mind, body and life. The song speaks its truth through your written words that cannot be learned but lived. Thank you for this amazing song it has given me the words that will definitely help to entertain the man that I love sensually and sexually to the deepest part of my love for him and that’s his mind, body and soul.
