Wow! Already July and sadly, there are not a lot of releases this weekend and that couple that we are coming up on July 4th…Independence Day in the U.S. and maybe they know everyone is either traveling and/or spending too much on Fireworks. There is one I am excited about and have pre-ordered. Hopefully it will be here today. It is the first on on the list. Let me know what you want to hear this week. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great and wonderful weekend!
Shinedown – Planet Zero – (Atlantic Recording Corp): My one big listen this week (and purchase) is Shinedown’s new one ‘Planet Zero’. This is the band’s 7th album in almost 20 years, so not too bad. They keep pushing themselves and trying new things and I can’t wait to hear what they bring to the table this time around.
And then we have all the rest. Hopefully you find something you like!!
Imagine Dragons – Mercury – Acts 1 & 2 – (KidinaKorner / Interscope Records)
Tedeschi Trucks Band – I Am the Moon: II. The Ascension – (Swamp Family Music / Fantasy Records / Concord)
Derek Sherinian – Vortex – (InsideOutMusic)
The Judds – Love Can Build A Bridge: Best of The Judds – (Curb Records)
Municipal Waste – Electrified Brain – (Nuclear Blast)
Blood Command – Praise Armageddonism – (Loyal Blood Records / Hassle Records)
Randy Holden – Population III – (RidingEasy Records)
The Dear Hunter – Antimai – (Cave & Canary Goods)

Saint Asonia – Introvert – (Spinefarm Records / St. Asteria Music / Universal)
Horizon Ignited – Towards the Dying Lands – (Nuclear Blast)
Momma – Household Name – (Polyvinyl Record Co.)
Gwenno – Tresor – (Heavenly Recordings / [PIAS])
Camp Trash – The Long Way, The Slow Way – (Count Your Lucky Stars Records)
Greg Puciato – Mirrorcell – (Federal Prisoner)

Thanks. I spend about 2 hours a week doing the New Release page that lists everything for the year. And then once a week, I copy that week’s list and spend about an hour putting it together. Luckily these posts are pretty mindless and I can binge watch something while I’m doing it.

I think the band is American but the singer is Canadian so they get played a lot here. It’s the former guy from Three Days Grace. Funny thing is, Three Days Grace replaced him with the guy from My Darkest Days, making me wonder if the word “days” was the main qualifyer.

Wow…musical chairs. I used to listen to Three Days Grace, but not the other two. And note the word used to.

Musical chairs indeed! Those bands get a lot of radio play up here. I’d probably like them more if they didn’t.

Shinedown sounds even harder than when I saw them at Download 2018. Also like Blood Command.

I saw Saint Asonia about a month ago. I thought it was a good show. The sound quality was suspect. I was entertained. They’re described (at least they were on radio here) as being a Canadian supergroup. I wouldn’t go that far, but they were good.
I read that the Crue put out 5 reissues recently. I’m disappointed that nothing extra was added to the albums.

Those Crue reissues were so disappointing. I didn’t buy any of them.

Saint Asonia from this week took precedence over Shinedown

I haven’t ever heard Saint Asonia so Shinedown took precedent for me.
