As fall sets in, and the time has fallen back an hour earlier so the sunsets way too earlier, I need something to pick me up and new music always does that for me. What about you? We have a bunch of releases and a wide variety of choices so something for everyone hopefully. I’m looking forward to Chris Stapleton as he’s one of the few country artists I actually dig. I might even pick up the Bush greatest hits album. I’m also intrigued by the new Missing Persons album with Steve Stevens on guitar. Hendrix, Sodom and there’s also Triumph Of Death’s live album ‘Resurrection Of The Flesh’ that I’m pretty excited about.

Great. Glad there is some stuff. I make sure to have a bunch of metal on there each week for you!

I wanted the Soul Asylum album, but it’s only available on vinyl. Enjoy, whoever buys it.
Oh well. I ordered the Winger box for next Friday.
Happy Friday everyone!

Enjoy that Winger set. I already had those on vinyl so i couldn’t justify buying it again.

You are welcome. We have about 5 more to go and then a few weeks off with really no releases. I’m looking forward to that break.

Sophie Lloyd’s album came out today too which upon first listen sounds great. Lzzy Hale sings on one of the songs as each song has a different vocalist. I’ll also check out Temple Balls and Jesse James Dupree. Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Nothing for me this week, but I’m ok with that! I bought a few CDs in San Francisco a few days ago, anyways.

Ooh yes, you should visit San Fran, for sure! Amoeba Music is the record store I went to and it is HUGE!!! I had a great time, thank you!

I hit Amoeba in L.A. this Summer and didn’t really care for it. Too big and didn’t really have anything my local stores had.

Ah I see. Personally, I loved that it was so big. And this is coming from someone that hasn’t been to many record stores. Now, I want to check out your local record stores, though!

Feels like we’re hitting the slow time of year for new releases. Uncut have already released their best albums of 2023 list.

I am starting on mine, but mine isn’t a best of. It is more of what I liked during the year. And yes, nothing much from here on out.

The Beatles goes without saying with me…on vinyl. I’ve heard some of the remixed cuts…I was blown away…it sounds like they recorded it yesterday. With the new technology of completely separating tracks…most of the 60s and 70s bands will probably remix a glut of albums coming up. The bass is up front…I’m not usually blown away by remixes…with these I am.

Yeah, I need the red one as I have the original blue, but getting both of these new ones would be great.
