I have had the whole week off and did a staycation. It was awesome. But that doesn’t mean I still can’t bring you the Friday New Releases to you and this week we have around 40 albums for you. I am curious about the 38 Special album and the Jelusick so those will get a listen. Jury is out on Mike Tramp because I am not enjoying these rehashed White Lion songs. If I want to hear the White Lion songs, I’ll listen to the WHITE LION SONGS! Sorry…I was about to go on a giant rant there.   4. A staycation sounds excellent. I am on vacation this week. We are driving up to S.C. to visit my daughter and meet my new grandson. We’ll be there for a week. I’m hoping to visit Noble Records for the first time ever while we are there. It’s less than an hour away. Again, thanks for posting the list. Nothing for me this week. I may check out the new .38 Special. Peace.

          1. Cool! I am definitely into hard rock and metal. It looks like I’ll go to Noble on Tuesday. There is also a record store in Rock Hill I want to check out before heading home.

  5. Oh hell, this is a week. I’ll get the Nine Inch Nails, Paradise Lost and Castle Rat. I’ll give a spin to the Briscoe album you talked about yesterday and perhaps the Johnny Marr too. I’m also curious about the Buckingham/Nicks reissue but I don’t know if I really need it.

  6. I think I’m good for this week. Three nights a week of hockey are eating into the ol’ budget. I’m listening to my Kix box set while icing my foot. Here’s some free advice. Try not to block hockey pucks with your feet.

    As for the White Lion redo, I have the box set with all of the albums. I’ll stick with those.

    I’ve had ok luck with the rerecording thing. Harem Scarem’s Mood Swings is probably the best of the bunch I have. Harry Hess’ voice has aged like a fine wine. The worst one is the London Quireboys’ A Bit Of What You Fancy. Poor Spike’s voice took an opposite turn to Harry’s.
