The Collection: Ep. 79 – Kiss: ‘Dressed to Kill’ (50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition)

This week we unbox the brand new Kiss ‘Dressed to Kill’ (50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition) box set. It is massive. There are 5 CDs and 1 Blu-Ray but it also has a bunch of goodies included. You get a 100-page Hard Back book, stickers, buttons, picks, posters photographs, newspaper, ticket stubs, backstage passes and everything and anything related with a Kiss logo on it. The album came out in 1975 and produced what would become one of the greatest rock anthems with “Rock And Roll All Nite”. The tour would spawn the greatest live album ever made, Alive!, and you get not one, but two full shows that album was taken from. The rest will hopefully be on the Alive! box set, we will get to that one after it comes out. Sit back and enjoy as you unbox with me as it just showed up on my doorstep.

So go check it out as it is live right now on YouTube. Thanks for stopping by and please click “Like” and hit “Subscribe” as it helps out the site when you do.

    1. I haven’t actually consumed all of it, but I wanted to get a video out while the iron was hot. And I don’t think it is going to be on Amazon. They never released the Off the Soundboard. I don’t think that is how Pophouse wants to play it.

  1. Hi John! Thanks for sharing. That was the best unboxing video for the new box set I’ve seen so far. I watched your video this afternoon on my lunch break and finally pulled the trigger when I got home from work. It’s been sitting in my shopping cart since Friday. And I’m with you, the Gotham Rock City News and the book has been my favorite insert in these box sets so far.

Also, if you remember, I went to that record store in Rock Hill, SC. It was decent. I picked up two albums from his $3 bin, Angel – Helluva Band and Diesel – Watts In A Tank. The vinyl was NM on both albums. Plus, I finally got to visit Noble Records. It was the best record store I’ve been to in a little while. Good to great selection all reasonably priced. Looking forward to going back again the next time we visit our daughter.

    1. Thanks so much Jamie! I’m sorry I made you pull the trigger!! LOL!! But it might be the best of the three so far.

And so cool you got to Noble. They are my favorite in Charlotte. I will check out the Rock Hill one eventually, a little further on the drive than Noble. Did you check out his Holey Moley Wall. Usually some great stuff there just out of my price range normally. Ha!

  2. Haha! Pulling the trigger was inevitable! I don’t recall seeing the Holey Moley wall, but I probably did. I did pick up 6 vinyl records and two CDs while I was there though. It was a good day.
