Ace is back!!! Welcome to Friday’s new releases and there are a handful of releases worth noting and of course, the true Spaceman himself has a new album out. Even if it is a covers album, I have already bought it is on its way! All my choices are highlighted in Blue which is only 2 for sure and maybe I will check out the Derek Sherinian and Flying Colors albums, but it will all depend on time. What is out this week that you want to hear or what did I miss from the list? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!
Ace Frehley – Origins, Vol 2 – (Entertainment One): Yes!!! Ace is finally releasing his 2nd covers album which has been talked about since the release of Vol 1 a few years ago. It has some John 5, Robin Zander of Cheap Trick and the one and only, Bruce Kulick!! Yes Kiss Fans…Bruce!!! The two best Kiss guitarist are on a song together. Doesn’t get much better than that!!
White Lion – All You Need is Rock & Roll: Complete Albums 1985-1991 – (Cherry Red): This album has been bumped time and time again and is finally coming out. It is a box set with the first four studio album plus a live disc which is the one I am wanting. I can’t “WAIT”!!!!
And then all the rest….
10 Years – Violent Allies – (Mascot Label Group)
Keith Urban – The Speed of Now, Part 1 – (Capitol Nashville)
Derek Sherinian – The Phoenix – (Inside Out Music)
Flying Colors – Third Stage: Live in London – (Mascot Label Group)
Seventh Day Slumber – Unseen: The Lamb E.P. – (Rockfest Records)
Raven – Metal City – (Steamhammer)
Napalm Death – Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism – (Century Media Records)
Fit for a King – The Path – (Solid State Records)
Ava Max – Heaven & Hell – (Atlantic Records)
Joan Osborne – Trouble And Strife – (Womanly Hips Records / Thirty Tigers)
Semisonic – You’re Not Alone – (Pleasuresonic Recordings)
Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets – Live at the Roundhouse – (Sony Music)
Yusuf / Cat Stevens – Tea for the Tillerman 2 – (UMC / Cat-O-Log Records)
Not too big on the Ace cover’s album to be honest with ya John. Cool though he brought in guys like Kulick, Zander, and John5. Would have preferred an Ace album of originals.
Ozzy reissued Blizzard of Ozz today digitally with live stuff added as well “You Said It All” is available which is a great track.
Coming up on iTunes preorder is the Stones Live in Atlantic City 89 and Queens live one. Look forward to those two.

I’m a little disappointed on the Ozzy being digital only and I didn’t realize it was coming out so soon or I would’ve added it. I am about to start listening to Ace and then Storm Force Baby!!!

Look forward to your thoughts on Storm Force

Definitely need Ace, White Lion, and Flying Colors. I’m not in any rush.

I’m glad I’m not in a rush for Ace as it has been delayed with no timeline given. At least I have the download. I might go to Target today as they are supposed to have a CD with a bonus track and I might need that too!!

I heard about the target CD and that’ll be what I eventually get (whatever version has the most songs).

A major improvement from the albums of last week. I was very impressed with Run to the Father, Semisonic and Raven. The Napalm Death wasn’t what I expected but worth a go. However, I’m not sure what to make of Ace’s cover of the Deep Purple classic.

I kind of like the Ace cover. No, it is no where near as good as DP, but it is fun and he Aced it up to fit him.

I can see that now.

No, I don’t think it does although that cove warrants a bigger picture.
