July has been lackluster with the number of albums out mainly due to August & September being such huge release months. There are some good ones coming out this week, at least I hope they are good. The ones that have my interest peaked the most are in blue.
3 Pill Morning – Never Look Back – (Countdown Ent): 3 Pill Morning followed me on Twitter so I gave their music a listen and I have to say I am really excited about their new album. If you haven’t heard of them, you should check them out. What type of music, well they have toured with Theory of a Deadman, Shinedown, Blackstone Cherry, Saving Abel, Fozzy and others so that should give you a good idea.
Group 1 Crew – Power – (Word Entertainment LLC): To go in a completely different direction is a Christian Hip Hop band. I have enjoyed their earlier releases so eager to see what they have to offer this time around. I am liking “Mona Lisa”.
Chris Robinson Brotherhood – Anyway You Love, We Know How You Feel – (Silver Arrow Records): This is the Black Crowes lead singer side project that is very different than the Black Crowes. It is a unique experience, and quite interesting.
Hillary Scott and the Scott Family – Love Remains – (Capitol Nashville): Hillary Scott is one of the beautiful voices of Lady Antebellum. This is her side project with her family. If she is singing, I can only imagine it being wonderful.
Jake Owen – American Love – (Sony Music Nashville)
Jason Derulo – Platinum Hits – (Warner Bros.)
Steve Hackett – The Total Experience Live in Liverpool – (Inside Out Music)
Billy Talent – Afraid of Heights – (The End Records)
Modest Mouse – Night on the Sun – (Glacial Pace Records)
Vertical Church Band – Frontiers – (Provident)
DJ Khaled – Major Key – (Epic Records)
I haven’t bought any solo albums by Chris Robinson, but I’ve never been more into the Crowes than I have been lately. Maybe I should try it.

Love the Crowes. His solo stuff is very different and hit or miss for me. He tries so many different sounds and genres in his side music. It is definitely worth checking out. I haven’t listened to the new one yet.

I was really into the last few Crowes albums and I hope eventually they do more music. For now I’ll try this. I hear Rich’s music is quite good.

Yes, Rich’s stuff is really good. His new album Flux is worth a listen.

Hmm…I might have to check out the DJ Khaled album. I like Jason Derulo too.

I like Derulo, but really am not familiar with DJ Khaled. I need to give him a listen.

He’s collaborated with a lot of rap/hip-hop artists throughout the years. He’s more of a producer but I’m curious. Lol.
