Welcome to another Friday! It is time for more new releases and I hope you have some money saved up because one of these is quite pricey. I know I won’t be getting it anytime soon…if ever. Not a lot this week, but one I am getting for sure…My picks are in Blue. And that is The Michael Bolton you see on the list.
Def Leppard – And There Will Be A Next Time…Live From Detroit (Blue-Ray/DVD/CD) – (Eagle Rock Entertainment): Def Leppard is back with another live concert DVD and CD. Mine has been on pre-order for a couple weeks and should be at my house when I get home. Can’t wait for this one.
-
Bon Jovi – Vinyl Box Set (24 LPs) – (Universal Records): At over $400 this set is for the diehard fan. I am no longer diehard, but there are 2 albums in here I want that have never been on vinyl before…’Keep the Faith’ and ‘These Days’. Two of their best albums that I will pick up sometime soon. Here is a video from their newest album which is included in this set.
Rush – Live on Air 1975-1980: Legendary Radio Broadcasts (4CD) – (Laser Media): Anything Rush is worth listening to, obviously. I am hoping I can stream this one first and then see if it is worth buying…which I am sure it is. I don’t see a video for this set and I don’t know much about it. I found it listed on Amazon’s pre-orders so hoping it is a real album.
Overkill – The Grinding Wheel – (Nuclear Blast)
Michael Bolton – Songs of Cinema – (Frontiers)
Brett Young – Brett Young – (Big Machine)
Aaron Carter – LoVe E.P. – (Z Enterainment/Sony)
Thievery Corporation – The Temple of I & I – (ESL Music)
Lupe Fiasco – Drogas Light – (1st & 15th Productions)
Old Crow Medicine Show – Best of – (Nettwerk Records)
Chuck Prophet – Bobby Fuller Died For Your Sins – (Yep Roc Records)
Let me know how the Lep one is…
Rush one looks interesting as well. I wish something would leak out from the Signals Tour….love that album!

I wouldn’t mind having those 2 Bon Jovi records you mentioned on LP – but I think I can wait for the other 22!

I am having trouble finding s used New Jersey album so I might have to buy that one as well.

On LP? That would be nice. I have the box set version of New Jersey. New Joisey.

I am sure the New Joisey box set is nice. Yes, I want that one on Vinyl.

I’ll keep my own eyes peeled in these parts. Would be neat if you ended up with a Canadian pressing!
I think New Jersey and These Days are the best two. These two mean the most to me, anyway.

I will take any pressing. Is the Canadian pressing any different?

No, except it’ll say “Made in Scarborough Ontario” on the back, that’s about it!

Those live on air sets can be dicey. I have the Kiss one. All of Paul’s raps are edited out of Animalize Live. Disappointing.
Bon Jovi, screw that. How many times can they keep on re-releasing. I agree about the two albums you like. These Days is incredible! A personal favourite. Keep the Faith I haven’t reviewed yet. Quite an undertaking, I have two versions.
Def Leppard, will buy. Don’t really want more live Leppard but will buy.
Michael Bolton has some Valentines special on Netflix! It looks like it could be hilarious.

I got the Lep. It was waiting on me at home when I got off work. The Michael Bolton album is…welll…is kinda awful. The Netflix special looks to be about the same I am sure.

I dunno, with a picture like this, I really hope it’s a comedy!

I hope so. The album is like a comedy as it so laughably bad.

Time for a Blackjack reunion! Get back to Rock, Michael! (I’d lose my crap if that happened!)

When I heard he signed to Frontiers I thought it might be a rock album, but I was wrong.

I probably would have had my hopes up as well.

I’d say the Rush’ll be the winner here!

I could agree with that.
