Vacation starts after close of work today and I can’t wait. I wish there was a ton of new music to listen to but sadly that is not the case. The are only a couple I will give a listen and I know one I had to pick up for my daughter (on vinyl of course). I actually think there is more for my kids this week than me. And actually the 5 Second of Summer was released last week. My choices are in Blue, which ones are you interested in or what have I missed. Have a great weekend as I know I will have a great next week…NO WORK!!
Panic at the Disco – Pray for the Wicked – (Fueled by Ramen LLC): Panic is on the top of the list this week. Why? Well, because my oldest loves this band. She is going to Atlanta to see them since they aren’t coming to Charlotte. I am sure I will be hearing this for some time and actually I don’t mind. They are pretty darn good. We should have the vinyl sitting on the doorstep when I get home…if my daughter doesn’t get to it first.
Ben Rector – Magic – (OK Kid Recordings): Ben Rector returns and I really like this Singer/Songwriter’s style. He tells great stories and has a great voice so there isn’t anything he has done I haven’t enjoyed. This is on the lighter side, but some days you just need that to relax.
Nine Inch Nails – Bad Witch – (The Null Corporation)
Pantera – Live at Dynamo Open Air 1998 – (Dynamo Concerts)
The Maine – Less Noise: A Collection of Songs by a Band Called The Maine – (8123)
5 Seconds of Summer – Youngblood – (Capitol Records)
Bebe Rexha – Expectations – (Warner Bros)
Dan + Shay – Dan + Shay – (Warner Music Nashville)
Swing Out Sister – Almost Persuaded – (Swing Out Sister)
Have a good week! Nothing for me this week though.

Nothing that excites me this week, though I’ll likely check out the Nine Inch Nails and Kamasi Washington releases.

I am sure I will eventually get to the NIN.

I’m sure that Pantera is a big deal to some. Not me 😦

I just watched the Panic at the Disco video. I feel like that guy doesn’t even deserve to wear a guitar with music like that.

Guitar rock they are not!! This is my daughter’s favorite band and one of the few she likes I can tolerate. Now my youngest daughter is in to them and so is my wife. They are going to Atlanta in July to see them in concert. So I am subjected to them on a constant basis and I have started to enjoy it as we all sing along in the car and have fun with it. I think that is where my enjoyment of the band comes from.

Nothing for me this week. Maybe I’ll give that Pantera disc a spin. Probably not more than once.

Wowzers Slim Pickens…Thats one band that I could not get into which was Pantera and that was because of the singing or whatever ya call it…
Musically they were fine but the vocals didn’t do nothing…

New NIN is always cool enough. But nothing for me to run right out and buy. I’ll hear the Pantera eventually somehow somewhere I’m sure.
