Friday New Releases – December 11, 2020

Only two more weeks of new releases worth mentioning before Christmas, including this one. This is one of those rare weeks where there is nothing I am really interested in and that is probably a good thing because I need to catch up on everything I have picked up over the last couple months. Wait a minute…there is now one that only announced yesterday so might be one I am interested in. Take a look through the list and see if there is anything for you. Let me know what you want to hear and what I may have missed. Hopefully something will get those ears burning! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!!

  • Taylor Swift – Evermore – (Taylor Swift): SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!! Taylor announced only yesterday that she was dropping a new album today!!! That is two albums in 4 months!! Someone has been busy!!! I might check this out as the last Folklore was quite interesting and a nice departure from her normal music.

      1. 2012’s Red has a pretty interesting back story – some of those songs hit a pretty interest synthesis of stadium rock and country, like the title track and State of Grace. But the record company made her put on Max Martin tracks like We Are Never Getting Back Together.

  1. Lots of great new releases by artists and bands I’m familiar with, but not with a lot of their music. I like the songs you included by The Avalanches, Deftones, Daniel Tompkins and Belle and Sebastian. I’m surprised to see a release of Peter Tork’s music.

          1. Dude, I almost posted an album review of Folklore discussing why I hate the album so much, but I deleted it because I thought it’d be better to be more positive on my blog! But also knowing how defensive her fans can be, I didn’t want to risk it. Btw, her fans also play a role into why I can’t stand her.

The funny thing is, the second post I ever posted on my blog talked about how I started to like Taylor’s recent stuff. I deleted it though because I realized I hated it still haha!
