We are already in to September and being a Holiday Weekend here in the States, it seems to be a lighter week than what we have seen the past and what is coming in the future. There is one Massive release for a lot of my friends and I will give it a listen, but otherwise there is nothing I am looking forward to this week. There are a few big releases outside of the Massive one and maybe they will be what you want to hear. My choice is highlighted in Blue. Let me know what you want to hear and what I may have missed as that does happen. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I know I will as it is a long weekend for me.
Iron Maiden – Senjutsu – (Iron Maiden / Sanctuary Records / BMG): Iron Maiden is back with another release and there are a lot of readers excited by this one. I have never gotten in to them, but I will give it a listen so I am not completely left out of the conversation when it begins. This is the band’s 17th Studio album which is why I haven’t tried to get in to them as that is a lot of albums to buy plus the million of live albums they have it is quite daunting. But if you like Metal, this should be up your alley.
And that is it for me. Hopefully one of these albums will strike your fancy and you’ll give them a spin…
Imagine Dragons – Mercury: Act 1 – (KidinaKorner / Interscope)
New Found Glory – Forever and Ever x Infinity…and Beyond E.P. – (Hopeless Records)
Rory Gallagher – Rory Gallagher Deluxe Box Set (4CD/DVD) – (UMe)
Bob Marley & the Wailers – The Capitol Session ’73 – (Mercury Studios)
Emmylou Harris & the Nash Ramblers – Ramble in the Music City: The Lost Concert (Live) – (Nonesuch Records / WEA)
Booker T & the MG’s – The Complete Stax Singles, Vol. 2 (1968-1974) – (Real Gone Music)
Lauren Alaina – Sitting Pretty On Top of the World – (19 / Mercury Nashville)
Ashland Craft – Travelin’ Kind – (Big Loud Records / 50 Egg Records)
Altered Five Blues Band – Holler If You Hear Me – (Altered Five LLC / Blind Pig Records)
LANY – gg bb xx – (Polydor Records / Side Street Ent. / Universal)
Make Sure – Ninjutsu – (Tooth & Nail Records)
Tuesday the Sky – The Blurred Horizon – (Metal Blade)
Bokassa – Molotov Rocktail – (Napalm Records)
The Night Flight Orchestra – Aeromantic II – (Nuclear Blast)
Bad Waitress – No Taste – (Royal Mountain Records)
Meadows – In Those Days & Also After – (Facedown Records)
Dale Thompson – Dreamland – (Other Level Records)
Blockhead – Space Werewolves Will Be The End Of Us All – (Future Archive Recordings)
Foreign Pain – Death By Divinity – (Good Fight Music)
Earth Groans – The Body E.P. – (Solid State Records)
Carnifex – Graveside Confessions – (Nuclear Blast)
Dana Dentata – Pantychrist – (Roadrunner Records)
Shavonn – I Am – (MCE Music Group)
Hmm… let’s see… nope, nope, nope… absolutely nothing of importance today 🙂

I was all amped for the new Maiden but then I saw the surprise Drake album and I forgot about Maiden.
More seriously I’ve had one listen to Maiden so far and it’s impressive. I can’t get the full experience on a Bluetooth speaker at work so I’ll have to dig into it more when I get home. I’ll also give the new Carnifex a spin sometime this weekend.

The Night Flight Orchestra – Aeromantic II is essential listening. Great AOR Melodic Rock for me.

Maybe Bob Marley & the Wailers – The Capitol Session ’73, I like the sound of Altered Five Blues Band – Holler If You Hear Me so another maybe, but that’s it.

I always preferred Lauren Alaina’s voice over Scotty McCreery’s. But, it’s in the past, oh well. She seems to be doing well, so that’s all that matters. As for Maiden, I’m not planning to buy all of their albums, just the ones I like. Then again, I’m not a collector and I see no need to get all of them (unless they’re all good).

You know I’m ALL about the Maiden.
My daughter will want the Imagine Dragons.
The Rory box is definitely intriguing.
Always love Emmylou.
I heard about Bokassa. Warrants checking out.
Cool stuff!
