We are already in to September and being a Holiday Weekend here in the States, it seems to be a lighter week than what we have seen the past and what is coming in the future. There is one Massive release for a lot of my friends and I will give it a listen, but otherwise there is nothing I am looking forward to this week. There are a few big releases outside of the Massive one and maybe they will be what you want to hear. My choice is highlighted in Blue. Let me know what you want to hear and what I may have missed as that does happen. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I know I will as it is a long weekend for me.
Iron Maiden – Senjutsu – (Iron Maiden / Sanctuary Records / BMG): Iron Maiden is back with another release and there are a lot of readers excited by this one. I have never gotten in to them, but I will give it a listen so I am not completely left out of the conversation when it begins. This is the band’s 17th Studio album which is why I haven’t tried to get in to them as that is a lot of albums to buy plus the million of live albums they have it is quite daunting. But if you like Metal, this should be up your alley.
And that is it for me. Hopefully one of these albums will strike your fancy and you’ll give them a spin…
Welcome to October and this month starts off with a BANG!! There are so many releases this week and a ton I am interested in at the very least, hearing. October has a lot coming so this is only the beginning. Everyone that has been holding off due to Covid is finally being released. This week, I am sure there is something you will find that you like. I am going to highlight my choices in Blue. I want you to let me know what you want to hear and what I may have missed that is coming out. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Queen & Adam Lambert – Live Around the World – (Hollywood Records): This one is on order and I hope it will arrive sometime today as I am dying to hear this one. I took my daughter to see them on their most recent tour and since Adam sounded amazing, it will be nice to have an album with him on vocals.
Bon Jovi – 2020 – (Captain Kidd / Island Records): Am I excited about this one or what?? Actually, it is or what! I am not excited at all and do not have this on order. I am only interested in hearing it to confirm to myself that Bon Jovi is still not worth a damn anymore. Now, if I find the vinyl in the used section of my local store and less than $10…I might pick it up as the completist in me feels the need to do. I haven’t liked what I’ve heard so far so my hopes aren’t very high.
It is the last Friday of June and I have vacation time coming my way. Not much coming out this week and thankfully that is the case as I won’t have time much over the next week to listen to anything. The ones I am curious about are highlighted in Blue. Hopefully you find something you like…if so, let me know.
Stone Sour – Hydrograd – (Roadrunner Records): Corey Taylor (from Slipnot) and crew are back with their sixth studio album. Talk is this will be more of a straight up rock and roll record which I am not sure what that will mean, but we will see what their definition of a Rock & Roll record is. Looking forward to giving it a spin.
Don Barnes – Ride the Storm – (MelodicRock Records): Don Barnes from .38 Special finally gets to release his solo album from 1989. Thanks to MelodicRock Records (& Melodicrock.com). I am eager to hear what we missed from so long ago. Apparently the album was never released due to the label (A&M Records) being sold. I don’t know if it got lost in the shuffle or it wasn’t good enough that the new company didn’t want to release it. We will soon find out.
