Friday New Releases – September 29, 2023

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic16 Comments

The end of another month has arrived and only 3 more to go this year. Crazy how time flies. One way to enjoy the time flying by is listening to new music and we have another large batch of new releases for you this week. There are almost 50 this time around. There are a handful I want to check out, don’t know if I’ll buy, but I’ll listen like KK’s Priest, Black Stone Cherry and even Red…and probably Green Day’s Dookie Deluxe Set…maybe I’ll buy that one, it looks cool. Let me know what you want to hear this week. I am sure a lot of you might like Ed Sheeran’s new one or maybe even LANY as I’m sure those will be pretty popular this week. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend.

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic30 Comments

Happy Friday…you made it another week…AMAZING!! As your reward we have a long list of new releases for you this week. I hope there is something in there that is music to your ears. I have a handful I want to check and I will mark those in Blue. Let me know what you want to hear this week or let me know if I missed anything even though I have over 50, it is bound to happen. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

  • download-8  Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators – 4 – (Snakepit Records / Gibson Records / BMG): Slash and Myles together again…is it possible to have burnout on these two?? I am not sure I am there yet, but getting close. However, I will check this one out as I like Slash and I like Myles…so really a no brainer.
  • 912DX03hpZL._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  Eddie Vedder – Earthling – (Republic Records): Eddie Vedder is back with another solo album. That is enough for me. I’ll check it out as I’m always interested to hear what he brings that is different than Pearl Jam.

Friday New Releases – January 17, 2020

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic31 Comments

It’s a pretty slow start to the year, nothing for me last week and only one for me this week (highlighted in Blue).  However, that is normally the case for the first couple weeks of January. It will pick up soon, I promise.  Hopefully there will be something for you in this list and if not, there will be something soon enough, I promise.  The good news is it frees my up to keep chugging along on the Gene Simmon’s The Vault 15 part review and the David Coverdale Series…check them both out.  How’s that for a shameless plug?

  • 91J71+Iz4kL._SX522_.jpg  Sons of Apollo – MMXX – (InsideOutMusic):  I am so happy to see Sons of Apollo bringing us their second studio album, but third album overall.  I thought this might be a one and done kind of thing, but thankfully nope.  The band has one of my favorite singers, Jeff Scott Soto as well as some guys you might have heard of by the names of Mike Portnoy, Billy Sheehan, Derek Sherinian and some no name guitarist that goes by Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal.  Just a little band full of nobodies…huh, yeah right.  It don’t get much better than this lineup!!  A super group for dang sure. Check them out.

  • A1ZY0GJHrCL._SX522_  G. Love & Special Sauce – The Juice – (Philadelphonic Records / Thirty Tigers)
  • 71k-hlXAyFL._SS500_  British Lion – The Burning – (Explorer1 Music)
  • 71990GnQiwL._AC_UL115_  Magnum – The Serpent Rings – (Steamhammer)
  • 919n7zPbmrL._AC_UL115_  Little Big Town – Nightfall – (Craft Recordings)
  • A1EzbNkAnlL._SS500_  Dustin Lynch – Tullahoma – (Broken Bow Records)
  • A1X39UIXU+L._SX522_.jpg  Halsey – Manic – (Capitol Records)
  • 81AR1eEs6HL._SS500_  Of Montreal – UR Fun – (Polyvinyl Records)
  • 71lWuBqqsZL._AC_UL115_  John McLaughlin, Shankar Mahadevan & Zakir Hussain – Is That So? – (Abstract Logix)
  • 719VOLhACML._SS500_  Bombay Bicycle Club – Everything Else Has Gone Wrong – (Mmm…Records)
  • 91CoOjAVLKL._SS500_  Anti-Flag – 20/20 Vision – (Spinefarm Records)

Friday New Releases – September 8th

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic24 Comments

Finally!!! The new releases start picking up.  August was such a slow month, but it is about to get busy.  The floodgates are opening and the new releases are coming in full force.  So hold on and open your wallets, it is going to get expensive.  This week gets off nicely and the ones I am interested in are highlighted in Blue.  There should be something in here for everyone especially some great rock and a ton of country.  Let me know what you like.

  • 61u4pnXwDyL._AC_US218_  Alter Bridge – Live at the O2 Arena + Rarities – (Napalm Records):  Alter Bridge live is going to be good.  You have the boys from Creed and Myles Kennedy who is one of the hardest working singers in the business between Alter Bridge, Slash and so many other projects, he is always working.  There have been a lot of good live albums lately and this should be no exception.  The plus side is there are a bunch of rare tracks on here as well that really has my interest.

  • 61hNZekCmAL._AC_US218_  Jonny Lang – Signs – (Concord Records):  Blues rocker Jonny Lang is back with his first album in 4 years and it has been way too long.  I am looking forward to hearing some more of his guitar magic.  With a new album from Kenny Wayne Shepherd and now Jonny, blues rock is alive and kicking.
