I will give Saxon’s ‘Carpe Diem’ a listen because their last studio album, ‘Thunderbolt,’ was really strong!

Feels like the first proper day of releases this year – I’ve already listened to Mitski and Cate LeBon.

Maybe for you. This week sucks for me. I had a couple good ones so far and it will get better as we go.

You ever wear a baseball cap backwards to tell your kids they should be more hip like you while flashing the peace sign and drinking a glass of orange juice?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Nope, can’t say that I have. Mainly because they already know that I am hip!

When was your last hit film again?

Harsh!!! But good point! Maybe I am no longer hip.

I’ll check out those old Geezers in Saxon and see what they are up to in the year 2022. As always thanks for doing this every Friday Snowman.

You are welcome. Even if nothing I want to hear, you will still get a post.

That Saxon isn’t bad but I’m not a big enough fan to care, I only on one album.
Forget Korn! LOL

Yeah, forget them all this week!!

There is a new release (a song) coming as well, next week, so maybe you can mention it next week? I think you know the one?

This particular artist has an album’s worth of tracks…

Yes, and I have most of them. Can’t wait for the new one.

Like many I’ll check out the new Saxon. I’ll probably see what’s up with a few of the heavier ones like Venom Prison. And, lastly, if someone names their band A Cold Night For Alligators, that will get me to listen to at least a minute of their song.

Ha! I’ve done that before and listened to an album strictly on the band name. King Gizzard & the Wizard Lizard was one of those bands.

I’m surprised Korn is still kicking around. They were never my cup of tea. I don’t like that bass sound.
My wallet is happy today. I don’t see anything I need to rush out and snag.

Not a Korn fan either!

I’m listening to every compilation and live album of Aerosmith I have. Listening to Young lust now.

Cool. Glad you have some things to hear. I will need an Aerosmith break after this series.

Fatigue? I’m still listening to all of the compilations. Planning on tackling Pandora’s box.

Saxon because Biff is 72 and sings as if he is 22.

I have to second Buried on Mars here, Saxon sound as good as they did in the 80s, especially Biff.

That is awesome to hear. I need to check it out then.

I knew the first few, and then the rest of the list was mostly stuff I never even heard of, let alone heard. Have I lost touch with the new music?

Here’s the thing. I don’t know 80% of what is on these new release post. I only put them on because they are on the source documents I use for these posts. And when I look at say Apple Music on a Friday, those 80% monopolize their list and the 20% I know rarely show up on it.

Very cool. I am still probably way out of touch!
