I can’t believe we are already to the last Friday of February. This year is already flying by. The good news is that it feels like the new releases come faster and faster. This month there are over 50 to go through and that should keep you busy for a while. There are three I’m interested in hearing and the are highlighted in Blue. Let me know what you want to hear this week and let us know if we missed anything. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Scorpions – Rock Believer – (Vertigo Berlin / Universal Music): Our favorite German rock band is still going strong after around 50 years together. And these guys can still kick some major ass. I am really looking to hear this, but don’t expect a review for a very long time as I am saving it for the Scorpions Collection Review Series that will start later this year.
Corey Taylor – CMFB…Sides – (Roadrunner Records): The Slipnot frontman is at it again and as much as I love his CMFT album, I am eager to hear this one. I believe it is a covers album, but I am okay with it. And based on the cover, I think we will see a Kiss Cover on this thing.
Avril Lavigne – Love Sux – (A DTA Records / Elektra Records): Does this woman age? I don’t think so as she looks even better than she did when she started. She still has attitude and man can she sing, I will give this one a spin to see what she brings to the table this time.
And there is all the rest…enjoy…

I’m a little interested in Tears for Fears. Brooke Ligterwood grew up in my suburb.

That is cool. I wish her luck then.

Wow, first Jason Mraz and now Avril Lavigne. These people do not age! The only thing that’s changed about Avril throughout the years is her hair! Also, the album cover for the Scorpions’ ‘Rock Believer’ reminds me of the album cover for the Rolling Stones’ ‘Goats Head Soup’ since they both feature someone with a sheet of fabric over their face.

Yes, Jason and Avril sold their soul for rock & roll and so they don’t age!! Yes, the Scorps album does look like Goats head Soup…maybe they are paying homage to RS.

Well, I wouldn’t call Jason a rock artist, but he definitely sold his soul to something. Also, Avril is from Canada. I just googled her and had no idea!

Oh yeah, I knew she was Canadian. She’s a little powerhouse.

I’ve never took the time to dive into her catalog, but I like most of her hits. Are you a fan of hers?

I like her singles as well. I don’t have any albums myself.

Ah I see! Oh one more thing, I also liked her pink hair streaks because I used to have a thing for colored streaks.

I AM A ROCK BELIEVER! This will be the first Scorpions I’ve bothered with in 20 years.
I believe CMFT B-Sides also has the acoustic version from the Japanese CD, although I’m not sure, it’s logical assumption.

I definitely did not bother with Comeblack…Acoustica…and definitely not Eye II Eye. In fact Eye II Eye is the exact moment I said “Enough is enough!”

Not for a while though. I only have maybe 5 more reviews for Aerosmith, then I am staying with only two series for awhile. I need a break

you tease us with that for a while (xD, I’m still a fan of Bad English)

Yes, I have. I get anxious and ready to start a new series while in the middle of others. I can’t help myself.

Comeblack is useless (be happy, in france we have a bonus track of Still Loving you sung by Amélie Bourgeois in french with Klaus Meine), Acoustica features “Love Of My Life” by Queen and it’s a good cover while Eye II Eye, I hope it was just a bad joke.

My Comeblack isn’t the French version.

Not sure what ya’ll are on about with Corey.
Scorpions is interesting one. And Avril. Tears for Fears too.
What’s up with Reckless Love? Think I read somewhere that they are going for MIami Vice sound, what?
But this is coming from someone who at the moment is listening to Foreigner Inside Information, so there’s that. ..
Have great weekend folks!
