You read that right. The next series here at 2 Loud 2 Old Music will be Bon Jovi. It is coming July 4th, 2023. What better way to spend America’s birthday then to start reviewing one of the most American Bands there is…BON JOVI!!!
This Collection Series will include everything I have in my collection and that includes Jon Bon Jovi Solo stuff as well as Richie Sambora as to me, they are Bon Jovi (even if it is Jon’s band). No Richie, No Bon Jovi…okay, no real good Bon Jovi without Richie. There, I said it and got that out of the way. We have around 60 reviews coming to you and of course, that is going to take over one year to get through as we normally do 1 post a week on a series.
Here is what we are going to cover….
The Studio Albums…

The Live Albums…including Bootlegs

The Compilations…

Singles & E.P.’s…whether a 7″ Single, a CD Single or even a Cassingle…

The Solo Albums…
Jon Bon Jovi:

Richie Sambora:

And even the DVDs…

And here is everything we will review (in order…mostly)…

Are we allowed to place bets as to where the latest Shanks-era stuff ranks?

LOL!!! That might be fun.

I’ve got a whole bevvy of their cd singles in the garage – I’d lay money that I could go out there, find any non-live b-side and it would be better than one of the non-Sambora Shanks tunes (because Have a Nice Day isn’t terrible)

Have a Nice Day was the last decent album. And you’d be right about the B-Sides being better. I need to start picking up the CD singles.

If UK – US shipping wasn’t a ball-ache I could sort you out, they’re just gathering dust here

Hmm…might still be worth it. I could cover shipping if it isn’t too bad.

I’m happy I have lots of Bon Jovi that you don’t! Maybe I’ll join you for parts of this journey and post some singles and Japanese imports in time with yours…

That’d be fun. Tell me where yours go in the list and I will say I don’t have this one which should be next and you can to Mike Ladano for that review.

Time flies. It’s hard to believe the band has been around for forty years!

I think the box set wil be out in 2024 ,richie rejoing short tour ,probably last, the guys arent getting any younger ,and probably realize it time to call a day ,some bands stay at the dance to long ,motley crue should of stayed retired.New record with richie end of 2024 or early 2025 ,hopefully in the vain of bounce or these days,a colabration with pink on a track .A song with everyone sings would be fresh .The box set will have a dvd as well, hopefully a tribute to alec, covers, live tracks, songs left over songs we never heard, which will be diffuclt for us die hards, apparently there is a doc.._coming out as well ,orginally the box set was 2023,but i think obie obryan wants it to be perfect and really wants it perfect for the fans ,so he is going over it thorough and with a fine tooth comb.Digging through the vaults, bonjovi usually records or demos 30 or 40 songs per record, then narrows it down to 12 that makes a record, new jersey was supposed to be a double album, keep the faith as well, plenty of songs from ktf made it on first box set from 2004 .Im sure there is plenty more were that came from.40 yrs.Of love would be a cool title for it.

Thanks for commenting. I keep hearing all this as well. Really excited to see what is on the set as they do have a ton of unreleased material. And I wish Richie would release his new solo album, I keep hearing for the last year or two that its done.
