It is the first new release post of June and we already have a major release. Yes, Bon Jovi is back with their new album ‘Forever’. With Shanks still on board, my hopes are not high for this one but I will listen as I always have hopes they will be good again. I have it on order and it will get reviewed, but not until it’s slot in the Bon Jovi Collection Series that is currently running. Maybe 3 more months. I also want to hear the Loverboy Live album from 1982…their prime!! What are you interested in hearing this week? Let me know and what we may have missed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I’m not getting my hopes up, but I’ll give the new Bon Jovi album a listen before deciding if it’s terrible or not.

I will give it a try as well. You won’t know my thoughts on it until the end of the series in about 3-4 months.

No problem. I can wait!

You are braver than I John. I won’t give Bon Jovi a penny of my money, or a second of my streaming time. They blew it!

Loverboy! I heard a couple of tracks from this album and they are indeed in their prime here.

I’ll stream to see if I want to buy

I’m starting to read positive Bon Jovi reviews, but I still can’t. There’s too much music out there to spend time on.

It’s okay. I will listen for you. I have the CD, Cassette and vinyl coming sometime this weekend and a 7″ single. I figured, I have them all, might as well continue to get them all.

I admire your dedication but question your sanity by going all-in like that.

I collect all of their stuff…they offered it for sale, so might as well.

I don’t even buy three copies of new releases by the bands I love the most, who have been with me for decades, so like I said I truly admire your dedication. I hope Jon appreciates you lol!

Jon, Joe, Paul & Gene need to all appreciate it since I do it for those three bands.

Especially Gene when we do our Vault episode. My June is currently full so let’s book for early July.

Listening to BJ now. Total summer album so far. Got the cd and vinyl. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten anything on the release day and now I’ve gotten both Tony Martin box and now BJ.
Otherwise interested in Loverboy and Evergrey.

I need that Tony Martin box.

I’ve given Forever a spin despite my reservations…. clearly the lay-off has made for better songs to be written as there is more meat here than before but (and this isn’t meant as a harsh thing) more time should’ve been allowed for Jon’s vocal rehab – We Made It Look Easy especially suffers – and finding a better producer

They so need a better producer. I do not like the Shanks impact

I think it’s odd / sad that two of the best producers for them (Peter Collins and Pat Leonard) only got to do one album each with them. I’d be curious to see what a non-yes man could do with them now

I don’t think we will ever see that.

My local ran out of BJ, can u imagine? Bet they only had a few coming in, but if I hadn’t pre-ordered mine then I would left the store empty handed. The market has changed a lot indeed. I still recall the days when there were rows and rows new product on the shelfs on release days and posters on the wall etc. Now..next to nothing. Haven’t seen any posters of upcoming or new releases either for ages. Have u?

Times have changed!!

And no, no posters unless you are a new band that today’s kids like. Our local shop has new release posters but bands not meant for me to hear.

I’d like to see new posters on the walls..my local has a few posters but they don’t change them often. Today was strange standing next to new release wall and it had an empty spot where I quessed BJ cd’s had been.
Really liking this new BJ album. Guessing it’s not your cup of tea. Listening to 2020 now. There’s a whole lot more energy on 2020 than there is on Forever. Not to say Forever sounds tired, it doesn’t but it’s calmer and more laid back. It’s not a young man’s band anymore.

The new one isn’t bad. It is very laid back. I really love the song My First Guitar. Best one he’s done in awhile…at least for me.

Good one..My favorite so far is Seeds.
Which one do u think is going to the next single/video release?

Might give Loverboy a spin. Is Megan Trainer at the bottom for a reason? lol

Ha! Actually, there is a reason. I had her on a different week, then realized after I wrote the post her album was out this week so I added it the last minute…but even if that didn’t occur, she would be down there anyway!! LOL!!

I figured it was a statement, lol
