Friday New Releases – June 7, 2024

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic29 Comments

It is the first new release post of June and we already have a major release. Yes, Bon Jovi is back with their new album ‘Forever’. With Shanks still on board, my hopes are not high for this one but I will listen as I always have hopes they will be good again. I have it on order and it will get reviewed, but not until it’s slot in the Bon Jovi Collection Series that is currently running. Maybe 3 more months. I also want to hear the Loverboy Live album from 1982…their prime!! What are you interested in hearing this week? Let me know and what we may have missed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  • Bon Jovi – Forever – (Captain Kidd Corp / Island Records / UMG)
  • Loverboy – Live in ’82 – (earMusic / Edel Music & Entertainment)
  • Apocalyptica – Plays Metallica, Vol. 2 – (Throwdown Entertainment / BMG Rights Mgmt)

Friday New Releases – January 28, 2022

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic28 Comments

We end the first month of 2022 with our final Friday New Release post for January. And we go out with a bang as there are over 50 albums this month. I would say things are looking up. This week there are a couple I am really excited to hear and a couple that have me intrigued. I have highlighted those in Blue. Out of the over 50 albums, I am hoping there is something you will be interested in hearing so let me know which ones they are and also let me know what I may have missed. As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.

  • 71SGRt+AyAL._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  Steve Vai – Inviolate – (Favored Nations / Mascot Label Group): Steve Vai…what is there to say. He is a legend on the guitar and there are not many that can match his skill. With his albums though, it is hit or miss with me. I either love it or I am not sure what the hell is going on. As with all his albums, I will give it a spin and we will see which reaction we get.
  • 91vgEuZ1hKL._SX522_  Earthless – Night Parade of One Hundred Demons – (Nuclear Blast): Man, I can’t wait for this one. This Psychedelic Rock band that does mostly instrumentals is so much fun to listen to that I might be dropping the needle on this one first. There is so much going on you just get lost in the music.

Friday New Releases – October 30, 2020

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic43 Comments

The day before you and I have a bunch of treats and absolutely No Tricks!! We have around 30 new releases for you this week! Tell me that is not a Treat!! The time changes this weekend as well so you will have a whole extra hour to listen to music. Am I looking out for you or what!!! I have a handful of items I want to hear and they are highlighted in Blue. Let me know what you want to hear and if there was anything I may have missed. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful, safe, and socially distanced Halloween and great weekend. Until next week!

  • download-18  Black Stone Cherry – The Human Condition – (Mascot Label Group): Now I’m not a massive Black Stone Cherry Fan, but they do put out consistently great material. For that, I will give this a listen as I do love that heavy, southern rock sound. I am kind of a sucker for it so they will be first up this morning.
  • 61MxWQR6cYL._SX522_  Thin Lizzy – Rock Legends Box Set – (Universal UK): Now here is a box set you need to get. I believe there are 99 songs and 74 have never been released. Yeah, that is sort of sweet!! Plus, it is Thin Lizzy so what other reason do you need to buy this…maybe a cheaper price as currently this is cost prohibitive. If the price drops, so will my cash.

Friday New Releases – April 6th

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic14 Comments

It is already April and I can’t believe how fast time flies.  We just got back from New York City for a family vacation and what a great time we had.  I love that city!!  Now, what do we have new this week you might ask.  Well, we have a lot of different things, Metal, Rock, Southern Rock, Pop, Christian and so much more.  My choices are highlighted in Blue.  Let me know what you want, if anything.

  • 91P3HWlQIsL._SX522_  The Dead Daisies – Burn It Down – (Spitfire Music):  John Corabi and boys are back with yet another Dead Daisies release.  They are pumping out the music and thankfully so.  Since Corabi came on board, I have really loved these guys.  And coming of Corabi’s recent Live album playing his one Motley Cure album in its entirety, I am ready for some more.

  • 31iUJMAkz3L._AC_US320_QL65_  Thirty Seconds to Mars – The New Album – (Interscope):  Jared Leto and company are finally returning with some new music.  He shares his time between movies and music and although I like his movies, he is one of the few actors that actually has some musical chops and Thirty Seconds to Mars rarely disappoints.  Looking forward to this one as I have loved the first song and here it is…
