This week on The Collection, we are talking the Australian band Airbourne. Founded in 2001, however, their first album didn’t come out until 2007. Brothers Joel O’Keeffe and Ryan O’Keeffe along with David Roads and Justin Street bring their musical influences of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Def Leppard and of course being from Australia…AC/DC and create some killer rock music. The AC/DC influence is the biggest as they are now doing what they did in the late 70’s and early 80’s. They are delivering some dirty, gritty, sleazy, no holds barred, uncompromising rock & roll.
So go check it out as it is live tonight right now, March 10, 2025 at 8pm. Thanks for stopping by and please click “Like” and hit “Subscribe” as it helps out the site when you do.

I’m proud of you for cribbing the “like and subscribe” rap from the young folks. You’re hip now, Snow!

Even I’ve been TRYING to do it. Although in an upcoming video tomorrow, I definitely forgot and I only told people to subscribe to John Clauser. LOL!

I’ve been doing that since day one but it doesn’t work very well. Hell, people don’t even like and subscribe to this page.

You tend to get more views than me for the average video, so don’t sweat it too much. According to Peter Kerr, who has taken classes on this, there are two key factors: thumbnails and titles. You already have the thumbnail images down perfect, so maybe it’s a matter of title.
I changed last week’s show from “Metal TV” to “Mix Tape”, and changed the art to go with it, and it suddenly started getting views after tanking over the weekend.

Interesting. Yeah, I suck at titles and I think a lot of my thumbnails suck. The last two have been great though I believe. But this past week’s show with Airbourne isn’t get any hits because they aren’t well known, but I did that for me not for views. Most of this is for me so i shouldn’t fret.

No no no – your thumbnails are already perfect. You have that part of the equation. Titles can be tweaked. For example I changed my Blotto interview to “A Band You Should Know!” and it started getting views. Peter’s suggestion again.
I’m trying it again this Friday with a re-run from the LB Train days. Editing to under an hour (key length is under an hour!) and re-titled with new thumbnail.

Another tip is that Peter said sharing doesn’t help – only when other people share the link to their socials, does it help. Algorithms are weird. If you look carefully, Tim no longer shares – he shares only a link to his channel, not to the specific video. I have stopped sharing as well.

Interesting on that one. Thanks

Peter says the algorithms are confusing as all hell.

Those vinyl albums are great looking. Think I’ll stick to my cd versions. Do u have that Deluxe version of Black Dog Barking with the live cd? Didn’t find a review of Black Dog Barking on the site.
Airbourne brings to mind Jettblack. Think they toured together at the start of their careers. Are u familiar with Jettblack? Their first 2 albums are pretty good. Listening to Jettblack: Raining Rock at the moment.

No review for that one. I’ve only done one or two of theirs so far. I need the deluxe versions with live albums. And no. Not familiar with Jettblack. I’ll check them out.
