              1. I worked hard and spent a lot of money to make my collections “complete” and I hate falling behind. Bands like Leppard, Snake and Lizzy are among my core loves. I can let stuff like a Dream Theater box set slide, and maybe even the Crowes, but for my core bands I need to have it all. I have been a music “completion” collector since I was 14 years old.

        1. You’re not kidding. It’s listed at $130 on amazon right now.

I think I’ll check out the Sloan album. With Chris Murphy’s health issues, I figured we’d never hear from the band again!

          Thanks for the list.

          1. I had no idea about his health issues, is he gonna be OK?

Amazon (.ca) has the previous Whitesnake Into the Light box set on right now for 40% off. So I always wait for that price drop.

            1. I stand corrected. I thought he had MS. Turns out it was Bells palsy. I saw Sloan live once. During the show, the band would take turns playing each other’s instruments. I thought that was way cool. That said, it’s time to play Money City Maniacs. It will drown out the construction noise I hear outside.

They remind me of KISS. Usually the one who writes the song sings it.

I’ll take a walk to Sunrise later, to see what the Whitesnake box will cost. I have not heard the album.

              1. My dad had Bell’s Palsy as well. So did Rick Savage and Jean Cretien, so my dad is in good company!

When I saw them live in 2000, they swapped instruments in the darkness. It was so cool.

And they sang Summer’s My Season live that night, featuring my favourite Sloan lyric:

“Just remember this, Kiss is still just Kiss,
Their style is denial, consider it a race,
But who would be the one to paint their face?
                ACE!”

              2. It was a Japanese bonus track to the Between the Bridges album – they played the whole album live that night, plus one of the two bonus tracks! I has probably been reissued on one of their B-Side Wins albums since then.
