Can you believe March is almost over. For new releases it is as this the last one of the month and do we have a lot for you with well over 25 releases for you to check out. We cover the entire range of music I am guessing with this batch of releases. I have one that I am really excited about and another that is 20th Anniversary Edition that I am excited to explore again. Those two are first up and marked in Blue. Let me know which ones you want to hear first and what I might have missed so everyone can know about it. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the list. I hope you all have a wonderful, music-filled weekend!!!
Smith/Kotzen – Smith/Kotzen – (BMG Rights Mgmt): First up is Richie Kotzen (The Winery Dogs) and Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden). What a cool combination of guitar players. These guys will battle it out on guitar and on vocals. That is enough for me. I have not heard anything yet, but I know I want to so that is why it will be first up today on my list to play.
3 Doors Down – The Better Life (20th Anniversary Edition) – (Republic Records): I can’t believe it has been 20 years since this release, it is insane. By far, I think their best release and it is time to celebrate with a couple of unreleased tracks and some demos. That is all I want in an anniversary release…well maybe a live show from the tour would be good.
And now all the rest…
Carrie Underwood – My Savior – (Capitol Nashville): Carrie’s first gospel album and nice to see her do this. I am sure this will do well for her.
Suzi Quatro – The Devil in Me – (Steamhammer): I’ve heard the song below and this might be interesting. Might have to add this to my list…
Neil Young – Young Shakespeare Live – (The Other Shoe Productions / Reprise)
AJR – OK Orchestra – (AJR Productions / S-Curve Records)
As Everything Unfolds – Within Each Lies the Other – (Long Branch Records)
Dartagnan – Dartagnan: Feure & Flamme – (Sony Music)
Memoriam – To The End – (Reaper Entertainment)
The Black Angels – Live at Levitation EP – (The Reverberation Appreciation Society)
Death From Above 1979 – Is 4 Lovers – (Everything Eleven / Universal)
First Aid Kit – Who By Fire: Live Tribute to Leonard Cohen – (Jagadamba / Sony)
Real Estate – Half a Human – (Domino Recording)
’68 – Give One Take One – (Chariot Music / Cooking Vinyl)
Tower of Power – 50 Years of Funk & Soul: Live at the Fox Theater Oakland, Ca June 2018 – (Mack Avenue)
Dr. Lonnie Smith – Breathe – (Blue Note)
Skegss – Rehearsal – (Loma Vista Recordings / Concord)
Joe Strummer – Assembly – (Dark Horse Records / BMG)
Fitz & the Tantrums – Head Up High – (Elektra Records)
Sara Watkins – Under the Pepper Tree – (New West Records)
Ben Howard – Collections from the Whiteout – (Island Records)
NF – Clouds (The Mixtape) – (NF Real Music)
Tomahawk – Tonic Immobility – (Ipecac Recordings)
Gerry Beckley – Keeping the Light On (The Best of Gerry Beckley) – (Blue Elan)
The Antlers – Green to Gold – (ANTI)
Tune-Yards – sketchy. – (4AD)
Excellent! There’s a few here today that interest me – Real Estate, First Aid Kit, Black Angels and Tomahawk.

I’ll give Smith/Kotzen a shot as well John. I’m still behind in music coming out the last few weeks so I need to get caught up.

Smith/Kotzen for me…but not in a rush. None of the songs grabbed me.

Same, but I will give it a spin mainly because there really isn’t anything else I’m dying to hear.

I have to say, after listening to S/K in full album form, it is much better than expected. It will get spun again.

I was very impressed with the Smith/Kotzen and Mrs. 80smetalman is a big Suzi Quatro fan so we’ll be having some of that. I like that song too.

I might give her a spin as well. The Smith/Kotzen one turned out to be good. Listened to it this morning.

Really like the Smith/Kotzen single you have on here. Also as a guy that grew up on rap music I do like me some NF. Dude is talented if you’re into rap. He’s like Eminem just without all the cursing so he’s a safe for family or work listening which I really appreciate as a break from the norm these days!

I don’t know what that Dartagnan album is. I saw it, and thought why not include it on the list.

Same. I have no idea what it’s all about but as a fan of old stories that name stood out.

I didn’t know that Suzi Quatro was working on new music, interesting! While I’m not a fan of “I Sold My Soul Today,” I’ll admit she sounds great vocally.

She’s still going strong!

Oh do you listen to her music? I only like stuff mostly from her first few records.

Not really no. I might hear a few things hear or there, but don’t go out of my way too much to hear a whole album.

Ah I see. I used to be obsessed with her in 2018 because I loved that she wore black leather and she screamed in her songs. Nowadays I only search up her songs when I’m in the mood.

Im back to say thanks for the heads up on the Lonnie Smith. Another one of us people also nudged me to it. Iggy Pop guests on a couple cuts. Music that’s up my alley for a certain mood.

It’s probable I’ve missed several posts. My method is that I hit Like on every post I read, that way the Reader shows me (with a little blue star) which ones I’ve read and which I haven’t. But me being me, it’s highly likely I’ve missed some still…
