Things are heating up here in Charlotte and so are the new releases. This week there is one that is highly anticipated from a lot of people and it is up first and I am interested in it as well as his prior two were great. I have a couple others I want to hear this week and all are marked in Blue. Let me know what you want to hear and if I missed anything, let us know so everyone can learn about it. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
Harry Styles – Harry’s House – (Columbia Records): I have to admit, I really like his prior two releases. I didn’t have a choice of listening to them as my girls think he’s dreamy. But little did I know I would enjoy them almost as much. Can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us with this release.
Gavin DeGraw – Face the River – (RCA Records / Sony): Gavin DeGraw has such a great voice and can write a killer pop song. They tell great stories and are catchy as hell. He can write a melody and a great chorus. Here is hoping for more of the same.
Train – AM Gold – (Sunken Forest / Columbia Records / Sony): Train used to be a band I enjoyed a lot. Then band members started leaving and all that was left was Pat Monahan, the lead singer. All the heart and soul of the band was gone. The songs became cardboard cutouts of one another and lacked any of the magic the band used to have. It was now the Pat show. He keeps adding members to the band, but he has lost his way. I will give it one listen in hopes it will recapture some of the magic, but I think all hope might be lost.

Lots of singles. Maybe I should do a new release singles post.

Astley for sure.
No, no, no 🙂
I’m saving my money for Leppard. I have 2 versions on order and no idea what I still need to order!

I have 4 versions of Lep. I’m stupid that way. I need go order the Gavin DeGraw album as I have all of his on CD so should add this one too.

I guess I will just see what happens when the Lep gets here and see what I still need. I have the deluxe and what appears to be the Japanese on order.

I have both Japanese on order with the two different bonus tracks on each. Plus the Exclusive Target on Vinyl and I broke down and got the cassette…too bad it won’t be in for tonight

I have no idea what is on the one Japanese I ordered except it’s a SHM CD. I’ll have to wait and see and get the other version when I can.

I hope they come close to the release date and not a month afterwards.

Hah! My hopes are low personally. At least I won’t be getting to that album in my review series until late in the year. I have currently written up to part 32 – Yeah! Walmart Bonus CD.

I don’t see anything for me in there this week. I’m fine with it, as fifteen discs (3 collections, and yes, I have a problem) arrived this week. For those getting a long weekend, enjoy!

I have a friend that loves Harry Styles and so do a couple of my roommates, but I couldn’t care less lol! I’m waiting for Louis to release another studio album.

Louis is okay, I guess. I didn’t listen to his because my kids didn’t.

I love his debut album! There are songs I go back to here and there, but that is my preference.

There seems to be a “The Last Waltz” theme this week. Not a bad concept though. I was rather impressed with Correleoni.

As always, thanks for the update! I’ve re-written your Harry Styles paragraph though and am happy to “edit” anytime you need!
Harry Styles – Harry’s House – (Columbia Records): I have to admit, I really like his prior two releases. I loved them so much that my girls didn’t have a choice but to listen to him. They didn’t care for his “dreamy” looks, but little did they know they would enjoy his music ALMOST as much as I do! Can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us with this release. Rock on with your top 40 self Harry!
You’re welcome.

Not to much here this week. I’m still digging into RUSH’s MP deluxe set. That live show is one of the best live things I have ever heard…
EON as well I’m still spinning…I see KISS dropped today another track from Donnington. Sounds live which is great

Glad the Kiss sounds live but hopefully a little better than the last one.

The only one that mattered for me on this release week was Evergrey’s new one.
