Friday New Releases – September 11, 2026

Today marks the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 and I still remember everything about that day. A day I’ll never forget and so many other people won’t either. As a result of this, I don’t think many artist wanted to have their albums released on such a somber anniversary as their less than 20 albums on the list this week. Friday New Releases – October 20, 2023

As we get closer to Halloween, we have over 70 more treats for you this week. No tricks. It is another huge Friday New Release day and there should be something for everyone. I have a couple I’ve pre-orded and one I’ll listen to for sure. The two pre-ordered are The Rolling Stones new one with the Atlanta Braves Exclusive cover and the other is a new Night Ranger album with a live show on CD & DVD as well. The third thing I’ll at least stream is the new Blink-182 now that the original members are back together. Outside of that, I’m sure I’ll get to Rival Sons when I can. Friday New Releases – May 20, 2022

Things are heating up here in Charlotte and so are the new releases. This week there is one that is highly anticipated from a lot of people and it is up first and I am interested in it as well as his prior two were great. I have a couple others I want to hear this week and all are marked in Blue. Let me know what you want to hear and if I missed anything, let us know so everyone can learn about it.   • 61ur3nQ+-mL._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  Harry Styles – Harry’s House – (Columbia Records): I have to admit, I really like his prior two releases. I didn’t have a choice of listening to them as my girls think he’s dreamy. But little did I know I would enjoy them almost as much. Can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us with this release.
  • 81wHtI5jxtL._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  Gavin DeGraw – Face the River – (RCA Records / Sony): Gavin DeGraw has such a great voice and can write a killer pop song. They tell great stories and are catchy as hell. He can write a melody and a great chorus. Here is hoping for more of the same.

Friday New Releases – September 27th

Welcome to the last Friday of the month and the last of the September new releases.  Let me tell you there are a bunch.  There seems to be a little for everyone from Metal to Pop to Christian to Country to Jazz to Electronica to Soundtracks. You name it and it is probably here.  I have a few I am interested in and will stream, but nothing that I am running out and buying until I have heard it first.  Those choices are highlighted in Blue.  Let me know who you want to hear and what I might have missed as it is known to happen (quite frequently actually).  I hope there is something for you.  Have a great weekend.

  • 81TxYOBjwUL._SX522_  Hellyeah – Welcome Home – (Eleven Seven Music):  The band’s sixth studio album and first since losing founding member and drummer, the great Vinnie Paul. Luckily for us, he is featured on this album so fans need to grab this for that fact alone.  For me, the band is hit and miss.  They are hard and heavy, no doubt, and sometimes I need it that way.  It will get blasted in the car for sure (and at home).

  • 91STECUG+ML._SX522_  Steel Panther – Heavy Metal Rules – (Steel Panther):  Yet another release by the Steel Panther.  Let me tell you they don’t hold back on this one. Their porn rock has kind of grown old for me and I really wish they would do a straight up rock record that isn’t such filth.  It was funny at first, now it is old and boring.  I will give it at least one listen, but honestly, not expecting much…sorry guys.  Seeing them live is where the fun is really at so go check them out.

Friday New Releases – February 23rd

  • 510qrK6DCuL._AC_US436_QL65_  Alice Cooper – The Sound of A E.P. – (Edel Germany):  Alice Cooper’s latest album ‘Paranormal’ is absolutely stellar.  This is really just a single release of “The Sound of A” from that album, but what makes it special is the 4 B-Sides you get as well including Live versions of “The Black Widow”, “Public Animal #9”, “Is It My Body” and “Cold Ethyl”.  That makes it worth it!!

  • 715ygsnBa6L._SX522_.jpg  CoreLeoni – The Greatest Hits Part 1 – (Frontiers Records):  Leo Leoni, guitarist from the band Gotthard, releases this on the 25th Anniversary of Gotthard to celebrate rock and bring back some songs that Gotthard has left behind.  With singer Ronnie Romero taking on the vocals this could be a very interesting project.  Worth at least a listen.
