Happy Friday everyone!! You made it to another weekend so sit back, grab a coffee and relax. There are over 45 albums on here which might the most I’ve ever had on a list. Knowing that, I am confident there will be something for you to enjoy. I have a handful of releases I am excited about and they are highlighted in Blue. Let me know what you would like to hear or what I may have missed so everyone can know about the release. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful and exciting weekend.
Queensryche – Operation: Mindcrime (4CD/DVD Box Set) – (Capitol Records): We getting a double treatment of goodness from Queensryche. The first is a 4CD box set celebrating my favorite concept album Operation: Mindcrime. It has the remastered album, bonus track and I believe live shows as well as a DVD with a lot of videos. I can’t wait.
Queensryche – Empire (3CD/DVD Box Set) – (Capitol Records): The second is a three disc set of their masterpiece Empire. Another of my favorite albums. This is remastered with more bonus material and a live show. Everything you would want. And a DVD of the videos and such.
Buckcherry – Hellbound – (Round Hill Records): Josh Todd and company are back with another dirty and nasty bit of rock & roll and I am completely fine with that. I really dig his vocals and some times you need to let loose and they are usually pretty good for that.
Jennifer Nettles – Always Like New – (Jennifer Nettles / Concord): Now sometimes, I like to go a little lighter and dare I say Country. Usually not very often, but if I do it is with Jennifer as I love her vocals. She could sing the phone book and I would be okay with it. Hopefully that isn’t what this is though…and does the audience know what a phone book is or am I dating myself??? LOL!! Actually, I think this is going to be a departure for her so not sure what to expect.
And there is is all the rest and there is a lot of it!!! Enjoy…

Big week this week – I’m interested in Lucy Dacus, Sault, and Tyler the Creator. The last two were announced late and probably aren’t in your zone.

Nope, not in my wheelhouse plus if they were announced late, like in last 2 weeks, I missed them.

I had no idea those Queensrÿche deluxe albums were coming out. Too bad Harrison is too gay to like them.

Harrison’s preferred music. Best listened to at a club after a few drinks and a male model grinding his ass on the front of your sticky stained pants.

What happened to that sweet kid that sang “Waiting Outside the Lines”? (Not that I liked that song, but I can’t believe Greyson grew up so fast).

That was 10 years ago believe it or not. He’s a man now and still has a great voice, albeit very different than back then.

Well, if his voice has matured since then, I guess that’s a good sign.

Crazy week with releases. I’m ticked I won’t get my two Queensryche box sets today, but they will ship today.

I’m in no hurry but eventually I’ll get Ryche. I have most of that material already. I think your interview disc might be included, not sure.

I think the interview disc is which is cool…sort of!! I was able to get a 30% off coupon and free shipping from Udiscovermusic.com so it was worth doing. I don’t really have much of the bonus stuff which is why I needed them.

Light the Torch will get a listen and the Queensryche releases surprised me. I’ll give em a listen on Spotify if they are there.

I am sure they will be.

No Sleep ‘Til Hammersmith is pre-ordered. $71… but damn, it is Hammersmith.
I was on a zoom call with Jennifer Nettles yesterday!

And it’s Motorhead!! I don’t like her new album as it is too broadway/pop. I like it when she does country. But cool you got to zoom call with her!

Yeah, she mentioned how this one is going to be a gamble. I don’t know any of her songs so I have not dog in the race.

That’s a big week, and apart from Motörhead and Dream Theater (at least to hear them), I’d say I’m in a jazz mood, looking at the Miles, and the Bill Evans…

It was a big week which is good because the next two are just so-so in size.

New Modest Mouse is really good and I completely missed the new His Golden Messenger, so I’ll need to check that out. Probably check out the Toto, too – I’m in a Toto zone just now. The release that most interested me last week was John Murry’s The Stars are God’s Bullet Holes. Vinyl doesn’t land until the end of July, but I decided I couldn’t ignore it till then!

That’s a lot of stuff to listen to. Never big in to the Mouse, but to be fair I never gave them a shot.

The Mouse are really good. Awfy consistent, too.
