Welcome to December and its beginning to look a lot like Christmas. If you need some gift ideas, you might know some people that will want new music so here is the latest batch of new releases. If you are interested, I would take the Skid Row box set if you are thinking of getting me something. If not, I would still like the box set! HA!! Otherwise, there is nothing I am interested in this week. Take a look through and see what you may like and let me know what interests you or if we missed anything. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
Skid Row – The Atlantic Years (1989-1996) Box Set – (BMG Rights): The collection includes seven 180-Gram Audiophile vinyl LPs, including the band’s multi-million selling, worldwide-charting first three studio albums, plus the B-Side Ourselves EP and the live EP, Subhuman Beings on Tour!!, which was previously only available on CD in Japan. It is now being made available globally and on vinyl for the first time ever. I want this but not sure I if it is worth it yet.

You are welcome. Last one until after the first of the year.

I take that back, the Skid Row Atlantic Years box set looks tempting since I heard good things about the second and third studio albums. Amazon says it’s only $40, plus the CDs are in digipaks, versus those stupid cardboard vinyl replica cases.

The Skid Row box should be here next week but I can’t crack it open til Xmas lol…I will add the U2 album to my library as I need to get that one on vinyl at some point.

I might just stick with the RSD release of Slave as that is the only one I’m interested in really. I have the first one vinyl already. And that U2 one would be nice.

I do want the Skid Row box set but honestly I only want it for Slave To The Grind. I have the first album on vinyl already and I’m not that concerned about the rest. I didn’t grab the box yet because I can honestly get one of last year’s RSD reissues of Slave for less than the box.

That is exactly where I am. I have the first and only want Slave. I’ll probably just do what you said.

Lots here I’ll wanna hear eventually, but nothing I need to run out and buy as new release.

I’m torn on the Skid Row set. I have all of the albums except for the live EP. The CDs I have sound good. I don’t know if the set includes anything other than the music, like extensive liner notes for example.
As for U2, I have the 20th anniversary two CD edition. I don’t see much new.
I’d be willing to give Volbeat a chance. They’re music is growing on me. The live show I attended was really good. I’d consider hearing Tom Morello’s album too.

It seems a little over priced for what it has to offer…IMO. I only want Slave as I have the debut on vinyl. Not worth it for me.
