I have been waiting for this Friday since I found out Needtobreathe was releasing a new album. That pretty much means I don’t give a rat’s ass about anything else coming out today. There are some I will check out after several days of listening to ‘Hard Love’. Those will be highlighted in Blue.
Needtobreathe – Hard Love – (Atlantic): Nothing else matters. This is the release to check out. They have been one of my favorite, if not my favorite, band over the last decade. “Happiness” is classic Needtobreathe so I have high expectations this release.
Good Charlotte – Youth Authority – (Kobalt): Glad to see these guys back. I haven’t heard anything off of it yet, but looking forward to listening to later next week after devouring the Needtobreathe album. Did I mention that Needtobreathe has an album coming out today?? If not they do…see above!!
Steven Tyler – We’re All Somebody From Somewhere – (Big Machine Records): Steven Tyler doing country…hmmm! Not sure what to say to that. I will still give it a listen since his cred with Aerosmith has given him that pass.
Twisted Sister – Rock N Roll Saviors: The Early Years – (Deadline Music): I am actually eager to give this a listen. After watching their documentary (Click link here), I want to hear more of their early years.
The Dirty Heads – Dirty Heads – (Five Seven Music)
Jeff Beck – Loud Hailer – (Rhino Records)
David Nail – Fighter – (MCA Nashville)
Confederate Railroad – Lucky to be Alive – (BFD)
Snoop Dogg – Coolaid – (Entertainment One Music)
Hillsong United – Of Dirt and Grace: Live From the Land (Live From Jerusalem) – (Hillsong)
I’ll have to check out that Twisted Sister. I can’t imagine them having more tracks from back then to release? I figure everything is PROBABLY already out, on the Club Daze albums. If this is a rehash I can safely skip.
Definitely skipping Tyler. He’s really turned me off over the last four years.

Agree on the Twisted. Amazon shows the list of songs, what clubs recorded at and year. Don’t blame you on Tyler. He has been a little disappointing lately.

I was shocked as well. I haven’t listened to it yet. Not sure I will, but you never know.

Really like the Need to Breathe song. Very celebratory! Agree with the previous comments about Stephen Tyler. Good Charlotte’s song sounds a bit like Blink-182, and the entertaining video was yet another that was shot in the Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree National Park.

The Needtobreathe album is great. I have already listened to it several times. The Good Charlotte album is the same old stuff, but I haven’t listened to it in the car yet and that is where I determine if I like an album or not.

You can be sure that when I get my copy, it’ll be on the KMA!
For now, I thought this was a good intro:

Tangled Up in Music left a comment and I somehow deleted it. Not sure what I did, but I apologize for the screw up.
