2017 is upon us and always fun anticipating what new albums are and will come out in the year. There are quite a few we already know about, but some haven’t been officially announced or even a date set yet. - Def Leppard
- Halestorm – new material
- Kiss
- Van Halen
- The Winery Dogs
- Matt Nathanson
- Ace Frehley
- The Poodles
My oldest daughter wants to see new albums from James Bay, Melanie Martinez, Twenty-One Pilots and Tori Kelly. They are all due for a new one, so she might get what she wants.
I would also like to see Stone Temple Pilots announce their new lead singer and release an album. I know it won’t be the same as with Scott Weiland, but I am curious to see what they do.
Now here are the albums we already know about and there are some good ones. I will highlight my most anticipated in Blue as well.

I am not sure what to expect for the year from what is listed above, but I am hoping for another great year for music. My biggest wish is for fewer iconic music legends to die. 2016 was a brutal year.
I believe your wish for a new Frehley could happen. He’s been talking about an Origins Vol 2. Hopefully he covers more later Kiss songs!
I have also heard Priest are recording for a 2017 release. That would be cool by me. Judas Priest have been consistently awesome.
My big WTF here is “Liam Gallagher”?? Look I was one of the biggest Oasis fans on the planet, and I loved the first Beady Eye. However Liam Gallagher is not the talent. I can’t imagine how dreadful that will be. Still hoping for an Oasis reunion one day. I keep wishing, “Maybe this Christmas the Gallaghers finally got together and made up.”

Origins Vol 2 would be awesome. Oasis getting back together would be nice but I can’t see it happening. I was also shocked by the Liam release, but we will see if it happens. Judas Priest would be nice as well. I hadn’t seen or heard that. I will have to update for that one.

I can’t see myself buying the Liam album. I haven’t even bothered with Noel’s High Flying Birds. I guess I’m just so disappointed in those guys, I haven’t looked back.

I haven’t bought anything other than Oasis. And that is all I will continue to buy. I might stream something they put out, but won’t spend the hard earned money.

There have been a couple good Oasis deluxe editions, of the early albums. I’ll spend my money on those, they are really thorough.

Riverdogs? Is that the Vivian Campbell band?
2017 is already shaping up nicely I must say! All the best to you for the New Year!

Yep. It is Vivian’s Riverdogs. I saw something on Facebook that mentioned them. I don’t know if it was Frontiers or Melodicrock.com. Either way, great! If all the bands listed actually get an album out, I will be one happy camper. Thanks and all the best to you as well in the New Year!

Cool Post and thanks for letting us know what is on tap in January! STP i will wait for the reviews to pop up as they will be on singer number 3…..
Priest I’m waiting for Turbo 30 The Deluxe Edition(Feb Or March). I heard Turbo Lover from the live portion and it’s sooooo good!

Thanks. Turbo 30…it still hard for me to grasp that all the albums I grew up with are now in the 30-40 year old categories. Most of them still seem as fresh now as they did then.

Yeah it is crazy….One thing for 25th Deluxe Editions hahaha but 30? Speaking of Oasis i’m with you guys as I cannot really handle dudes when they go solo and Oasis is definitely the case. The Be Here Now Deluxe has Noel doing all the vocals on the Demo’s of the songs that Liam ended up singing….
Pretty cool….

I have the Flaming Lips album pre-ordered. Something to look forward to in a few weeks. After that it’s the new Duke Garwood (February).
All the best for the new year!

Hey! I’m also looking forward to new music from Avril Lavigne. She’s been my idol my whole life, and I remember the last album she released in 2013, which was AMAZING. I hope her new music comes soon!
It’s really late, but Happy 2017 to you too!

Yeah this year is going to be a kick ass year for music! But you forgot two big albums coming out, Marilyn Mansons “Say10” and Linkin Parks “One More Light”.
