Friday New Releases – June 7, 2024

It is the first new release post of June and we already have a major release. Yes, Bon Jovi is back with their new album ‘Forever’. With Shanks still on board, my hopes are not high for this one but I will listen as I always have hopes they will be good again. I have it on order and it will get reviewed, but not until it’s slot in the Bon Jovi Collection Series that is currently running. Maybe 3 more months. I also want to hear the Loverboy Live album from 1982…their prime!! What are you interested in hearing this week? Let me know and what we may have missed. Friday New Releases – July 28, 2023

Can you believe it is the end of July already? It is nuts how fast this year has gone. Regardless of how fast it is going, it is never too fast to bring you the Friday New Releases. So, if you are out sitting by the pool like Post Malone is doing, here are some albums for you to blast including the new Post Malone. I might give his a listen and then try Borns new E.P., he’s an interesting chap. But the one I ordered is not a new one. It is the Expanded Edition of the debut album from Billy Idol. Friday New Release – August 28, 2020

We are ending August with a BANG!! There are an abundance of releases this week and there has to be something for you to grab hold of and listen to all weekend. I am listing 18 different releases and you know I don’t ever have all of them so that is a boatload of stuff. I have a bunch I am eager to hear and 2 on order. My choices are highlighted in Blue and I can tell you right now, I doubt I will get to all of them this week as there are so many.   • 81Rz9estbVL._SS500_  Needtobreathe – Out of Body – (Elektra): Is there any doubt this one would be tops for me. I am a huge fan, but a worried fan as guitarist and a very creative mind behind the band, Bo Rinehart has left the band. I don’t know how much he put in to this album, if anything, but that has me a little concerned as direction and what to expect. The one thing they did that I don’t particularly don’t care for is they released like 5 songs already. I am not a fan of bands doing that.
  • A1aBMRfQkrL._SS500_  Metallica – S&M 2 (Live) – (Blackened Recording): I actually enjoyed the original S&M so I am curious to hear this one as well. Metallica and classical music I think are a good match. And the song they released already was pretty great.

Friday New Releases – April 20th

Welcome to another Friday of new music releases.  There are a handful of good ones that are coming out and I will highlight the ones I want in Blue.  Take a look through and check them out and see what else you want to get this week or what I missed.  Whatever you do, support the bands you like.  Enjoy!!

  • 61CaDGJBrVL._AC_US436_QL65_  Stryper – God Damn Evil – (Frontiers Records):  The first single off this release, “Take it to the Cross” was a shock to the system.  It was more thrash than the normal Stryper music, but it was awesome.  The second single, “Sorry” was more of what you expect.  Either way, they have me excited about this release and can’t wait to check it out.

  • 61HFVOPvWmL._SX120_SY120_  Black Stone Cherry – Family Tree – (Mascot Records):  Black Stone Cherry have been releasing albums every 2-3 years and they are right on schedule with this one.  I love their Southern Rock/Metal sound and they haven’t missed a beat with this one.  Looking forward to hearing the rest.  Looks like it is going to be a heavy week.
