A few big ones this week most especially the brand new Linkin Park album with their new singer. I’m interested in hearing this one. My daughter, on the other hand, is looking forward to Shawn Mendes. Friday New Releases – February 11, 2022

Happy Friday…you made it another week…AMAZING!! As your reward we have a long list of new releases for you this week. I hope there is something in there that is music to your ears.   • download-8  Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators – 4 – (Snakepit Records / Gibson Records / BMG): Slash and Myles together again…is it possible to have burnout on these two?? I am not sure I am there yet, but getting close. However, I will check this one out as I like Slash and I like Myles…so really a no brainer.
  • 912DX03hpZL._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  Eddie Vedder – Earthling – (Republic Records): Eddie Vedder is back with another solo album. That is enough for me. I’ll check it out as I’m always interested to hear what he brings that is different than Pearl Jam.

Friday New Releases – August 7, 2020

Welcome to the first Friday of August and there a bunch of new releases this week.  Not many I’m interested in, but hopefully enough for you to find something.  My choices are highlighted in Blue. Let me know which ones you are interested and what I might’ve missed so all our readers can see what is there for their choosing. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great weekend.

  • 81D-lblLCrL._SX522_  Deep Purple – Whoosh! – (earMusic):  I will admit, I haven’t listened to Deep Purple in years until their last release ‘Infinity’ which was pretty good. I’m hoping they have still upped their game here for another solid release.  The old guys still have a little left in the tank…thankfully!!

  • 81oKbQY-WFL._SS500_  Seventh Day Slumber – Unseen: The Lion E.P. – (Rockfest Records):  A hard rock Christian band.  That is good enough for me.  Not all of their releases have stuck a chord with me, but there has been enough meat on the bone to keep me coming back.  Sadly this is only an E.P., but I will take what I can get.  This time around it is some worship music which is fine by me.

Friday New Releases – February 24th

There is a lot of Rock albums out today and I am super excited and hope I can get through them all.  Frontiers Records normally does 4 albums every month but today they bring us 5 albums that could keep me very busy.  I have highlighted in Blue the ones I am most excited about.  I am sure there is something this week for everyone.

  • cover170x170-11  King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard – Flying Microtonal Banana – (Flightless Records):  King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard are back after only one year and now they are top on my list.  I had never heard of them until I did a music challenge where I pick an album to listen to based solely on the band name, the album name or the album cover and I picked them.  Read about it here.  I found that album to be stellar and now they will be the first thing I listen to on this day out of all the new releases.  They are a very unique band and probably an acquired taste and the song “Rattlesnake” makes me a little worried about this release, but I will still listen.

  • 170x170bb-33  Mike Tramp – Maybe Tomorrow – (Target Records):  Mike Tramp keeps pumping out the solo music and he brings us a new one to enjoy.  The former lead singer of 80’s rock band, White Lion, has carved path in his solo work that is nothing like his former band and that is okay. He never disappoints.
