Friday New Releases – October 21, 2022

Happy Friday! We have another batch of over 40 releases for you this week, but will any of them be talked about more than Taylor Swift’s new one? Probably not. However, that doesn’t mean she has the only important release because there is another one I will listen to probably more than hers. Yes, I will listen to hers as my girls are fans and I won’t be able to escape it. Let me know what you want to hear this week and what we may have missed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!\

  • 61wEzfjZeGL._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  Taylor Swift – Midnights – (Taylor Swift): She’s BACK!!! Taylor is knocking out albums faster than Aaron Judge was hitting homeruns. This one is supposed to be about dreams or nightmares she has had…or something like that. All I know are my kids are excited. And Taylor will sell more albums than anyone and she hasn’t even released one single for this album yet…as a result, no video to show. If I get up in this morning and there is one, I will update.

  • 91zottV8HJL._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  Stryper – The Final Battle – (Frontiers Records): Micheal Sweet and company are back again. Talk about putting out a lot of albums. Michael Sweet is a freaking machine. And I think the quality has been there so I am on board for another one. Bring it Mr. Sweet!!

Friday New Releases – March 27th

What a crazy month March has been and thank good it is almost over.  If you are still home cooped up from this whole virus thing, then here are some new releases you can get to help pass the time as I am sure you will need it.  Some good stuff for me this week, but don’t know about you.  Hopefully and if so, let me know what you want to hear, buy or don’t care about.  Also, let me know what I might have missed that people should know about.  My choices are in blue.  Enjoy and have a great weekend!

  • 815RjVdY3AL._AC_UL115_  Pearl Jam – Gigaton – (Monkeywrench/Republic/UMG):  I was never a huge Pearl Jam fan, I’m not afraid to admit it.  But it doesn’t mean I don’t like them.  I heard the first song off this and I have to say it is pretty great.  I think I will try out the whole thing.  It is nice to see one of those 90’s Grunge bands still be kicking and Eddie is the only singer left and we are thankful for that.

  • 81RpqUX-rZL._SS500_  Tesla – Five Man London Jam (Live at Abbey Road Studios 6/12/19) – (Universal Music): Okay, Tesla had huge success with an acoustic album like 30 years ago.  Are they hoping to recapture that magic?  Who knows, but I will give it a listen like I do everything they put out.  Buying it?  We will have to wait and see.

Friday New Releases – July 21st

Happy Friday.  I am in a very busy season at work and I need some new music to listen to so I can make it through this time.  Sadly, not a whole lot I am interested in this week.  I hope there is something for you.  Mine are highlighted in Blue

  • 170x170bb-68  Mr. Big – Defying Gravity – (Frontiers Records Srl):  Can’t wait to play this one.  Mr. Big has been back in a “big” way since 2010.  Now they do take 3-4 years between records, but it is better than the 9 years prior to that.  Either way, it is just great to get new music from this very talented band of musicians.  When ever you can have Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheenan, Pat Torpey and Eric Martin together, you have to be excited.  The opening bass line of this song is unbelievable and has definitely got me excited about this one.

  •  61b+59Pq0CL._AC_US218_  Europe – The Final Countdown 30th Anniversary Show: Live at the Roundhouse – (Hell & Back Recordings):  Say it isn’t so…30 years…REALLY!!  Damn!  I am getting old.  If you don’t know, Europe has been doing their thing for all this time and I am happy to see a live album to celebrate The Final Countdown.  This will definitely get a few spins.  I didn’t see a video for this so might as well show “The Final Countdown”.
