Friday New Releases – April 14, 2023

Here we are! Another Friday of new releases and this week has a HUGE one with the new album from Metallica!! I will listen to it before I buy it as I’m not a massive Metallica fan, but I know a ton of you out there love them so they are first on the list. I am actually more interested in Jason Bieler’s new album from his project Jason Bieler & the Baron Von Bielski Orchestra. ‘Postcards from the Asylum’ is going to be an eclectic mix of adventurous songs and I can’t wait. My copy should be here soon and it will be signed by Jason!! I thought I wanted to hear the new Mike Tramp album but I can’t imagine he could do anything that would improve on those great White Lion songs. Anyway, that is enough about me. Friday New Releases – June 3, 2022

We are now in June and things are heating up, but for me not so much on the New Releases. There is only one I’m excited about and one I am curious. They are both marked in Blue. Let me know what you are interested in listening to this week or what we may have missed. As there are over 40 albums on here, but we do miss some from now and again.   • 71Fkj2-zZmL._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  Crobot – Feel This – (Mascot Label Group): Crobot is now on the fourth full length album and this Pennsylvania hard rock/funk rock band knows how to bring it. If you like it heavy and a little funky, five these guys a chance. I’m glad I did.
  • 71yJmyCyw2L._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  The Fixx – Every Five Seconds – (JARC Ltd): It has been 10 years since their last studio album. I guess one thing lead to another and they didn’t have time. But thankfully Cy Curnin and team are back. I don’t know what to expect, but I am eager to give it a try.

Friday New Releases – August 20, 2021

Happy Friday! We’ve made it through another week and not a moment too soon. I am ready for this weekend. Thankfully, we also have a ton of new releases to listen to this week (like most weeks lately. There are only a couple I really want to hear and I have marked those in Blue. There are others I’m curious about, but we will see if I have the time.   • 81bYHjvl9vL._SS500_  Anderson East – Maybe We Never Die – (Low Country Sound / Elektra): Anderson’s last album, ‘Encore’, was exceptional. I am hoping for more of the same. If you like country mixed with soul, R&B and Americana, then this will be right up your alley. Can’t wait to give it a spin.
  • A1V5INA0ecS._SX522_  Switchfoot – Interrobang – (Fantasy Records / Concord): Switchfoot is always labeled as a Christian act, but they are so much more. They are alternative, a little post-grunge and power pop and I like it all. I am also a big fan of Jon Foreman’s vocals. I will be seeing them in concert in a couple months as they open for Needtobreathe so this will be a good show.
