Happy Friday! Fridays are always great since we get new releases and it is the start of the weekend. But this one might be the very last Friday New Releases as I’m done…well…I’m done for 2022! As there aren’t enough releases the next few Fridays to do a post. But it will be back in 2023!!! 2023?? Wow, is almost that time already…time flies. It is typical this time of year for releases to slow down as artists hold off on releasing if they can’t get it out early enough before Christmas. Now, between now and next week, if I find enough to do the 16th’s releases, I will do one. Cross your fingers, but if we do, that is for sure the last one for the year. For me, there is really nothing I need. Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you want to hear this week or what we may have missed. Have a great weekend.
Journey – Live in Concert at Lollapalooza – (Frontiers Records)
David Crosby – Live at Capitol Theatre – (Three Blind Mice / BMG Rights Mgt)
Sabu – Banshee – (Frontiers Records)
Rob Moratti – Epical – (Frontiers Records)
Landfall – Elevate – (Frontiers Records)
Nevena – Nevena – (Frontiers Records)
Tony DeCarlo – Dancing in the Moonlight – (Frontiers Records)
Happy Friday Everyone! We have another long list of releases for you today and isn’t that why you came to this page…yeah, we know it is. Now this week there are only 2 I’m interested in. One that has been bought and will be here today and the other is one I want to try out as I liked the song I heard and my Canadian followers will be happy. My choices are highlighted in Blue. I am sure there is something on here for you as there is so much there is probably something for everyone. I hope you find something you like! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Stone Temple Pilots – Tiny Music…Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop (25th Anniversary) – (Atlantics): This is a MUST HAVE!! I have ordered and it is on the way. The first two box sets in the Anniversary Series they are doing were top notch and this one looks great as well. You get a remastered album, a bonus disc of demos and such and then a live show from the era and that is all you want in a good box set. My Brother-In-Law worked on this one as well and he mixed a bunch of he unreleased stuff (or was it the live show, I can’t remember). Anyway, I am excited and I will be really excited if he remembers to get a me a copy of the 7″ Single that is only available on the STP Site.
Lee Aaron – Radio On – (Metalville): And here is a long standing Canadian artist that has been around for a long time and she still sounds fantastic. I heard the track I posted below and it has intrigued me to want to give the rest of the album a listen. Who doesn’t a love a woman who can rock out with the best of them!!
Happy Friday and welcome to the last Friday of October. Halloween is just around the corner, but sadly not much to scare up in the releases this week. There a couple I might check out and if I get in the early Christmas spirit, maybe the William Shatner Christmas album will get a spin…but seriously doubt it. My choices are highlighted in Blue. Let me know what interests you, if anything, and let me know what I am missing out on this week. Thanks and have a great weekend.
The Struts – Young&Dangerous – (Interscope): It has been a couple years since the Struts debut and they felt like they might the next big thing. But for me, the Jury is still out as they seem to be more of a novelty act than anything. The lead singer is a little over the top now and seems to be trying too hard to be something he really isn’t. I haven’t been overly excited of what I have heard so far, but I will give it a listen as they did interest me at one time. Man, I am really selling this one aren’t I!!!
Boy George & Culture Club – Life – (BMG): Boy George is back and with Culture Club. That alone is enough to sell this one. I don’t know why, but this one interests me. I haven’t heard anything on it yet (not even the video posted below), but I want to hear it. It will get a spin mainly out of curiosity.
Welcome to the last Friday New Releases of the month. There are too many new releases this week and no way to even come close to listening to it all. There a handful I will attempt to get to and those will be highlighted in Blue, but doesn’t mean there aren’t others on this list I don’t want to hear. I have to some way prioritize the listening choices. I am sure there is something on here that you will find exciting. Let me know what you are interested in getting.
Shania Twain – Now – (Universal Nashville): Oh Shania, how we have missed you. Back with her first album in 15 YEARS!!!. I have heard a couple songs off the album and haven’t been overly impressed so I am little worried about this one. My wife and I enjoy Shania and went saw her in concert about 2 years ago and we also had “From This Moment” played at our wedding. As a result, I will give this a listen despite my hesitations.
Black Stone Cherry – Black to Blues EP – (Mascot Label Group): The Southern Hard Rock band is bringing us a little EP to hold us over until their next album…I am so cool with that. They don’t seem to ever disappoint and I could use a good old rock album about now.
