Friday New Releases – August 13, 2021

It is Friday the 13th!! I am hoping everyone has a safe, non-horror filled day. And as luck would have it, there is really nothing I am interested in getting this week. A few I might listen to but nothing I am in a rush to get to so Friday the 13th is already starting out to be a crappy day!! I am sure there is something you will find that you can wrap your ears around as there are a lot to go through. Let me know what you want to hear and what I may have missed as that does happen (a lot). My only choice is The Killers and marked in Blue below.   • 81xwHtXyl4S._SX522_  The Killers – Pressure Machine – (Island Records / UMG): They are wasting no time putting out a new album as they just had one last year but I am sure Covid killed it. The last one was really great so I am anxious to hear what is in store this time around. After 17 years, Mr. Flowers and co. still have their groove and so that is why this is first up today and really the only one I’m wanting to hear.

Friday New Releases – February 7th, 2020

Welcome to the first Friday of February and the new releases we will see today.  There are a bunch this week.  If you like rock, pop, metal, country, latin, alternative or all of the above, there is probably something for you.  I have three I am interested in hearing and I will highlight those in blue like normal.  Let me know what interests you and what I missed including on the list so everyone knows.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful musical weekend!!

  • 81VOT4DngZL._SX522_  Stone Temple Pilots – Perdida – (Play Pen Music / Rhino):  STP is back with Jeff Gutt on vocals for his second album.  This one is quite a departure from their normal fare as it is an all acoustic album of new music.  Pretty bold move with still a new singer.  My brother-in-law worked on this album with the band so of course it is on my list and has been pre-ordered on vinyl to arrive today when I get home from work.  Looking forward to explore this one.

  • 71kL7NiqA-L._SX522_  Richard Marx – Limitless – (BMG):  I will admit it…I love Richard Marx…no not the physical, deep emotional love for a person, but love of his music.  What can I say, I am a sap for a good love song or hell, a good song period.  Richard has a great way of doing both of those and at the same time.  Thankfully the 80’s mullet is gone and he has changed with the times.

Friday New Releases – January 13th

OMG!! It is Friday the 13th!!  And living up to it’s unlucky reputation, there is nothing really great coming out that I am super excited about except for Danny Gokey & Gotthard (highlighted in Blue).  Since I am only interested in the,  I will post a few videos for some of the others so you can get a taste of what is to come.

  • 170x170bb-18  Danny Gokey – Rise – (BMG):  Christian artist Danny Gokey is releasing his latest album today and it shows how much better he is growing as an artist.  He started out on American Idol and has seem to found his place in music.  His popularity in the Christian genre continues to grow and this album should help that grow even more.

  • 170x170bb-8  Gotthard – Silver – (G. Records):  Gotthard has been a favorite of mine for quite some time.  I am looking forward to hearing this and have enjoyed the first single, “Stay With Me”.
