September draws to a close, so it is time for the monthly wrap-up so lets see what 2 Loud 2 Old Music added to the collection this month. This is the September 2025 Wrap-Up and we have a little vinyl, a whole lot of CDs and even a book. Plus, I visited a record store…twice, ordered from Discogs, ordered from another record store online and went thrifting. So much to go through including a couple new Rock Candy CDs in the collection, Kiss and a Box Set. Lots of great new and old stuff to go through and show for this month so I hope you enjoy the show!!
So go check it out as it will be live tonight, September 29, 2025 at 7pm. Thanks for stopping by and please click “Like” and hit “Subscribe” as it helps out the site when you do.
And here it all is if you can’t watch…but please watch!!
I have had the whole week off and did a staycation. It was awesome. But that doesn’t mean I still can’t bring you the Friday New Releases to you and this week we have around 40 albums for you. I am curious about the 38 Special album and the Jelusick so those will get a listen. Jury is out on Mike Tramp because I am not enjoying these rehashed White Lion songs. If I want to hear the White Lion songs, I’ll listen to the WHITE LION SONGS! Sorry…I was about to go on a giant rant there. Anyway, let me know what you want to hear this week or what we may have missed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
38 Special – Milestone – (38 Special Records)
Mike Tramp – The Songs of White Lion Vol. III – (Frontiers Records)
Jelusick – Apolitical Ecstasy – (Escape Music)

I’ll be honest, I normally don’t post press releases as I get so many every single day. And I like to keep the post related to stuff in my Collection (except for the New Releases obviously). However, this one I am posting because they were kind enough to send me a copy of the album on CD. I’ve had it for a couple of weeks and I have to say, it is pretty great. It is a mixture of Folk, Roots Rock with a lot of Country thrown in. What is great about it is the fact their are two singer which keeps the album interesting along with the great song lyrics which tell some pretty incredible stories. An album that is definitely outside my comfort zone, but one I have enjoyed immensely since I received it. Here is the press release information below so you can learn a little more about them…check it out if you get a chance.
Produced by Brad Cook (MJ Lenderman, Waxahatchee, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats) it marks a major sonic leap for lifelong friends Philip Lupton and Truett Heintzelman, the Austin based duo known for their signature intertwined vocals and relentless touring alongside acts like Noah Kahan and Dave Matthews Band.
Big buzz building with Rolling Stone stating “Heat of July is as much about leaving a comfort zone as it is about seeing the world through a windshield,”Austin Chronicle comparing them to Mt Joy and Caamp and exclaimed they have a “western twinge distinct to the lone star state” alongside previous support from FLOOD MAGAZINE andWhiskey Riff who stated, “If you’re not listening to Briscoe yet, then I suggest you change that.” making it their buzziest album yet!
Sit back and relax. We have one of the biggest weeks ever with releases as there are over 70 new releases this week. WOW!! As a result, there will be no videos this week as it will be too many and slow down the load too much…sorry about that. There are a handful I’m really interested in hearing. Most obviously for me is Needtobreathe’s new one called Cave…I have the CD and Vinyl ordered for this one. The others I want to hear are Core Taylor’s second CMF album, CMF2 and Brian Sezter sounds interesting to me as well. Plus I’d like to hear Demi Lovato’s new one since Nita Strauss is on guitar. Let me know what you want to hear this week or if we missed anything, I’m sure it could’ve happened. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
