Friday New Releases – September 15, 2023

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic45 Comments

Sit back and relax. We have one of the biggest weeks ever with releases as there are over 70 new releases this week. WOW!! As a result, there will be no videos this week as it will be too many and slow down the load too much…sorry about that. There are a handful I’m really interested in hearing. Most obviously for me is Needtobreathe’s new one called Cave…I have the CD and Vinyl ordered for this one. The others I want to hear are Core Taylor’s second CMF album, CMF2 and Brian Sezter sounds interesting to me as well. Plus I’d like to hear Demi Lovato’s new one since Nita Strauss is on guitar. Let me know what you want to hear this week or if we missed anything, I’m sure it could’ve happened. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Friday New Releases – April 15, 2022

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic23 Comments

April 15th in the U.S. use to be Tax Day. The day our taxes needed to be filed and paid (unless you file an extension). This year it is actually been pushed to Monday, April 18th like that will make any difference to the procrastinators. Mine are done!! But, being that Friday New Releases this year is on April 15, maybe they decided not to have many so these people that have to pay more in taxes don’t have to worry about missing out on too much. Or it could be the Super Deluxe Edition of Rush’s Moving Pictures is so expensive no one can afford anything else. Either way, we only have around 35 this week which is way down from previous weeks. I only have one and it is up first and highlighted in Blue. But I am sure there is something for you in there so take a look and let me know what you want to hear this week or what we missed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend!!

  • 71vsyGEt+AL._SX522_  Rush – Moving Pictures (40th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition) – (Mercury Records / UMG): Probably my favorite Rush album and my entry point in to the band, ‘Moving Pictures’ is getting the Super Deluxe Edition for its 40th Anniversary…WOW!! 40 Years. I am getting old. This box set includes a 3 CD set featuring the 2015 album remaster and the complete, unreleased Toronto concert from March 25, 1981. All audio is also showcased on 5 LPs cut at half-speed DMM on 180-gram vinyl. Blu-ray Audio disc presents a first-ever Dolby Atmos and new 5.1 surround album mix including the brand-new video for “YYZ” + 3 music videos. Extras include a book, model car, drumsticks, posters, and more! At only $299, it is a little steep. You could just get the deluxe edition CDs or vinyl for way, way less.

And then all the rest…

Friday New Releases – June 2nd

Published on by 2loud2oldmusic7 Comments

Can you believe we are already in to June???  Crazy!  And it has already gotten crazy hot here in Charlotte…and it isn’t even Summer yet (officially).  At least there are some Hot New Releases to keep you COOL!!!  There are only a handful I am looking to grab and they are highlighted in Blue.  I hope there is something that you are interested in getting.

  • 170x170bb (85)  U2 – The Joshua Tree (Deluxe) – (Island Records):  I can not believe it has been 30 years since this album was originally released. I was a senior in High School and this album was huge.  It is one of the world’s best selling albums.  U2 is commemorating the 30th anniversary with a new Deluxe Edition and a World Tour celebrating this album.  Who can forget all those great songs “Where The Streets Have No Name” “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”, “Bullet The Blue Sky” and “With Or With Out You”.  There is a 2CD Deluxe Edition which includes a live album of the Joshua Tree Tour and a SUPER DELUXE Edition which is a 4 CD set and includes 2 additional discs or remixes and rare songs from that time.  I definitely will be checking this out.

  • 81XAcRTPPLL._AC_UL160_SR160,160_  Adrenaline Mob – We the People – (Century Media):  Russell Allen (Symphony X) and Mike Orlando are back with their 3rd full length release.  The first two were great metal albums and I am not expecting anything less than spectacular with this one.  Climb aboard and check out the rush that comes with listening to these guys.
