Friday New Releases – November 3, 2023

Welcome to November and another week of Friday New Releases. As has been the case for weeks now, we have around 70 new releases for you this week. There are some killer ones coming this week, so strut your stuff over to the record store and pick something up. I want to here The Struts new one as well as Dirty Honey as they don’t disappoint. There is a new Jimmy Buffett which was planned before his death so they aren’t capitalizing on that fact. He was an icon for sure. This week there is some Jason Aldean for you country folds and Bad Wolves for you rockers out there. I am sure there is something for everyone. September 2023 Purchases – Vinyl & CDs

Welcome to the monthly round-up as we go through the purchases here at 2 Loud 2 Old Music for September 2023. It was another good month for vinyl and CDs, but that was it. Nothing out of the ordinary this month like Cassettes, 8-Tracks or even books. Strictly vinyl and CDs which I won’t complain about because that is enough. The month started out with a couple new releases that came out at the end of August, but didn’t arrive until after the August post was done. I picked the new albums for both Eclipse and H.E.A.T. and both are great…

Then during Labor Day weekend, my wife and I had a kid free weekend and we went out to 2nd & Charles so she could look for books. I, of course, took advantage of the Buy 2 Get 2 Free in the used CD section where I picked up 10 CDs. Two of them were actually still sealed (Lifehouse and Halestorm)!! I picked up a handful of Live including their debut E.P., some Wallflowers and a great Pearl Jam live CD and as Jimmy Buffett passed away, I grabbed his greatest hits in memory of him.

Friday New Releases – November 27, 2020

Here in the States, yesterday was Thanksgiving and this year we really do have a lot to be thankful for despite how bad 2020 has been. And since it is New Release Friday, we have even more to be thankful for and this is also Record Store Black Friday so dang, even more. I am not listing the Record Store Day stuff as it is too numerous plus not everyone has a local, independent store to buy from. If you want the list, click…RECORD STORE DAY LIST. Now, this Friday on our normal releases, they are plentiful as well. Take a look at the list and let me know what you want to hear.   • 81+akZQU0pL._SX522_  Miley Cyrus – Plastic Hearts – (RCA / Sony): Miley has been putting out some rocking covers lately and she has a voice that suits that genre pretty well. For that reason alone, I am looking forward to hearing this to see if she is bringing the rock…plus I am sure my kids will be listening to it so I am hearing it regardless.

Friday New Releases – May 29th

FINALLY!!  A Massive Week of new releases.  I mean this is the biggest week since this whole Corona outbreak started and thank goodness.  We need this!!  There a lot on my list this week…a whole lot.  They are highlighted in Blue as usual.  What interests you, what did I miss, what what what???  Please let me know.  I hope you have a great weekend and you know what I’ll be doing!!!  Thanks for stopping by.

  • 81Pgg8+JYdL._SS500_  Def Leppard – Hits Vegas (Live) – (Bludgeon Riffola Ltd):  Def Leppard has two out this week…that is right…TWO!!  You can also get it as one BluRay or DVD set that has both albums on CD and in Video format which I have the BluRay version coming to me.  This is the disc I am more excited about, the Vegas Residency Show as they tend to play a lot of DEEP DEEP CUTS and that is what the collector in me wants.

  • 81l398mT5qL._SS500_  Def Leppard – Hysteria at the O2 (Live) – Bludgeon Riffola Ltd):  Release #2 is for the London gig where they played the Hysteria album in its entirety which I already have from the Viva! Hysteria Vegas show years back, but the completist in me has to have this one too.
