This is the last big release Friday of the month as next week is Thanksgiving in the U.S. and new album releases are limited (unless you are Record Store Day for Black Friday). But this week, what are you looking forward to hear? I am expecting the Bon Jovi debut Deluxe Edition & their Japanese Greatest Hits album. I might check out the Storace album. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend.
Happy Friday everyone…you did it! You made it to another weekend and not a moment too soon. To celebrate, why don’t you help yourself to some new music. I know I will as there are two I’m really interested in and they are highlighted in Blue. Take a look through the batch we have for your this week as we have over 35 releases today. See which ones you want and let us know. Also, let us know what we may have missed so everyone else knows as well. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Hollywood Undead – Hotel Kalifornia – (BMG Rights Mgmt): I’m not a huge Rap fan by any means. Not something I like much. However, throw in some metal and hard rock beats and Hollywood Undead is something I really enjoy. They are now on their 8th Studio album and I am still along for the ride.
Collective Soul – Vibrating – (Fuzze-Flex Records): Collective Soul has been around since 1992 and 30 years later, still going strong. These local boys (well, close enough as they are from Stockbridge, GA and was from Marietta, GA) have been a favorite since the beginning and I am happy to add another album to the collection. They are on their 11th studio album and can’t wait.
It is August, Summer is creeping to an end, but the heat is getting hotter…speaking of H.E.A.T. The only album I’m interested in is the new H.E.A.T. album. There are a bunch other releases so let me know what you want to hear first this week and if we missed anything. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.
H.E.A.T. – Force Majeure – (earMusic / Edel Music & Entertainment): I really liked their last singer, Erik Gronwell, but he left and is now in Skid Row. Great a new singer…but wait. The new singer is their original singer Kenny Leckremoand he is pretty awesome as well. Finally a band changes a singer, I am not unhappy about it. Can’t wait to spin this one!!
And all the rest…
Neil Young and Promises of the Real – Noise and Flowers (live) – (The Other Show Productions / Reprise Records)
Happy Friday!! And you made it another week, good for you. We have a ton of new releases for you this week. In fact, Frontiers Records thought you need some new albums so they are releasing a whopping total of at least 9 albums that I have listed. I have complained about them in the past as I don’t understand how they can release so many albums on the same day. No ones wallet can handle that. It doesn’t seem fair to me or the artists because people will have to choose which one they want to buy as there artists are some what the same type of genre. Now, I guess I am kidding myself because most people stream and not buy, but still the point has been made. No more rambling on and on. I only have one I’m interested in hearing this week and it is marked in Blue. There a couple my kids might be interested in so they are up after my choice and then there are at least 23 more to choose from so hopefully you will find something. Let me know what you want to hear and what I may have missed. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!
Rob Zombie – The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy – (Nuclear Blast): Rob Zombie is back and John 5 is still in tow on guitar. I will admit, I like Rob, but I am a huge fan of John 5 so that is the main reason I want to hear this is so I can see what new insane stuff Mr. 5 pulls out of his hat. Crank It MutherF###er!!
The ones my kids might be streaming…
Nick Jonas – Spaceman – (Island Records / UMG): One third of the famous boy/brother band the Jonas Brothers, Nick is back with a new solo album. After a successful turn with his brothers, he is ready to go back out on his own. I am sure this will be played in my house a little so not much I am going to be able to do about it (maybe I could shut off their internet access…that’s an idea!!)
Happy Friday and welcome to this week’s list of notable releases…at least notable in my book. There is only one MUST HAVE and a couple others I will get to as well. Take a look and let me know what you are looking forward to and what I might have missed. My choices are highlighted in Blue.
Tremonti – A Dying Machine – (Napalm Records): The Creed and Alter Bridge guitarist strikes out on his own with his other band Tremonti. This time he takes on lead vocals and fronts one hellavu hard rock band. If you are a fan, then this is a MUST HAVE in your collection as it is mine. The band bring us their fourth album…that is right…their fourth and we can never get enough.
Sunstorm – The Road to Hell – (Frontier Records): The great Joe Lynn Turner brings his vocals to the band’s fifth album and the man can still sing at just 66 years young. The Hackensack-ack-ack-ack born singer has fronted a few bands you might have heard about…Rainbow and Deep Purple. He still brings the fire and intensity with Sunstorm. Check them out.
There are a ton of new releases today. But most of them I am just so, so about. Hopefully there are some on here you like and maybe some you might try just for fun.
These are the ones I am interested in listening to either because I am a fan or just out of curiosity. However, since there are so many it could be a long while before I get around to hearing some of these. I will bold in blue the ones I will definitely be listening to over the next week.
Meghan Trainor – Thank You – (Epic) – My kids like listening to her and her first single “No” was actually kind of catchy. Idoubt there is anythign on here that my kids can’t listen to but I will listen to it anyway just to make sure.
