Welcome to another week of new release and do we have a bunch to choose from. We have an astounding 56 releases today!! That is INSANE!!! With that many albums, there has to be a little in here for everyone. I have a handful that I want to hear today and you will as well I am sure. My choices are in Blue. Let me know which ones you want to hear this week and also tell me if I missed any which I am sure will happen. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend.
Metallica – Metallica (Deluxe Editions/Box Set) – (Blackened Recordings): The biggest selling Metallica gets the Deluxe treatment with a newly remastered album and previously unreleased, demos, rough mixes, & live tracks. Includes a 28-page booklet. This will be fun going through and will keep you busy for quite some time.
Metallica – The Metallica Blacklist – (Blackened Recordings): This Metallica set if 4 CDs of artists of all sorts of genres playing songs of the album. You get 50+ artists and a pretty cool tribute album basically.
Happy Friday and yes, the weekend is upon us!! Thankfully we have some new tuneage to get us through the weekend. There are a lot of releases today and hopefully you will find something to make this weekend a rocking good time. I have quite a few I am excited to hear, however, not running out to buy anything yet until I hear them first (Thank goodness for streaming as it saves me money sometimes). My choices are highlighted in Blue. Let me know what interests you or even what I might have missed as it has been known to happen. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!
Work of Arts – Exhibit – (Frontiers Records): Thanks to Melodicrock.com, I came across this band. If you know the Jeff Scott Soto band W.E.T., the “W” is for Work of Art member Robert Sall who is in W.E.T. This band is an awesome piece if melodic rock in the same vein as maybe Toto and Journey and other bands of that ilk. Give it a try as I think you will like it.
Pretty Maids – Undress Your Madness – (Frontiers Records): In what might be their 16th album (so many I have lost track), this hard rock band out of Denmark always deliver solid work and I am interested to hear what they have brought the table this time around. They rarely disappoint.
Welcome to the last Friday of April and the new music releases. There isn’t a ton, but there should be something for everyone. My choices are highlighted in Blue. Take a look through and let me know what you are interested in or what I might have missed. Have a great weekend!!
Sanctus Real – Changed – (Framework Records): Sanctus Real are one of the few Christian bands I still follow. They are consistently great and there are always some gems on each album. They are more pop than rock, but just as good as anything on the radio. Now, here is the twist. The lead singer of the band, Matt Hammitt, has left the band and so they have a new singer. I am going to try this one out, but not sure how much I will dig it as it was Matt’s vocals that always drew me in. He was also the principal songwriter. We will see, but hopes aren’t high.
Anthrax – Kings Among Scotland – (Megaforce Records): A Live DVD and CD that was recorded last year. It is Anthrax, of course it is going to get a spin or two. Plus, the album is a shout out to Kiss’ Rock & Roll Over cover! Not much else to say on this.
