Friday New Releases – November 5, 2021

  • 51yv4yWl25L._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  Abba – Voyage – (Universal Music / 1221 AB / Polar Music): If you thought things were bad with the pandemic, they are, but you know the world is doomed when we actually get a new Abba album. Who had that on their Pandemic Bingo Card??? After 40 years, our prayers have been answered or is it our nightmares came true…not sure which. Still, who doesn’t want to hear the new Abba album. I’ll give it a spin…why not!!! Things can’t get worse, can they?????
  • 81ksIKEj15L._AC_UY436_FMwebp_QL65_  Crazy Lixx – Street Lethal – (Frontiers Records): Sweden is the hottest Glam Rock country in the world. They have given us hundreds, if not thousands, of Glam Rock bands over the years and one of the really cool ones. Always worth a listen!!

Friday New Releases – May 17th

Happy Friday and thankfully the weekend is here.  It is time for sun and fun and new music.  There a few releases this week, but only a couple that I am really interested in and they will be highlighted in Blue.  Take a look through and let me know what you are interested in hearing or buying and if there is anything I might have missed as that is known to happen.  Thanks and have a wonderful weekend!!

  • 71qH4BeDx+L._SX522_  Crazy Lixx – Forever Wild – (Frontiers Records): One of many Swedish hard rock and glam metal scene and they have been around since 2002.  Only two original members left and they are Danny Rexon (Lead Singer) and Joel Cirera (Drums) and I am okay with it.  They have hit and missed sometimes, but I am still interested in what they have to offer because it will probably be fun.

  • 71HPj4+fyzL._SX522_  Paul Gilbert – Behold Electric Guitar – (Mascot Label Group):  The guitar extraordinaire from Mr. Big is back with another solo album.  With a title like ‘Behold Electric Guitar’, I think you know what you are about to hear.  More electrifying guitar work from a master player.  How could this not be great?  I guess we will find out soon enough.

Friday New Releases – April 21st

Rock fans rejoice!!  There are an abundance of rock records out today.  There are a variety of other genres as well including a Barry Manilow release, but ROCK is KING today for me.  My favorites to listen to are highlighted in Blue. There will be more on the list I am interested in, but will get listened to whenever I have time.  I hope there is something here for you!  Happy Friday and Happy Listening!!

  • 61loxgv4ial-_ac_us160_  Crazy Lixx – Ruff Justice – (Frontiers Records SRL):  The Swedish “Hair” Metal band is back with a new line-up after losing their major songwriter, Andy Zata.  After hearing the first song, they still sound the same bringing us loud rock & roll.  Hoping for more of the same on the rest of the album.

  • 51xac57bxxl-_ac_us160_  Thunder – Rip It Up – (Earmusic):  English band, Thunder, is bringing us their 11th studio album.  They came about in 1990 right when the 80’s rock was dying out and missed out on being a huge band.  They have been going strong (off and on) since and I am looking forward to another great release from Danny Bowes and company.
