Happy Friday. Halloween is just around the corner and we have some treats for you. No tricks! We have over 40 new releases coming your way for your listening pleasure as you continue to work on your scary, funny or sexy Halloween Costume. Don’t miss out!!! Let us know what you want to hear this week or what we may have missed. For me, only one I’ interested in hearing so should save some money this week. Thanks for stopping by and have a Hauntingly Great Weekend!!
Joe Lynn Turner – Belly of the Beast – (Mascot Label Group / Music Theories Recordings): Joe Lynn Turner is throwing all caution the wind, he is letting go of the wigs and letting loose the metal. I’m really excited about this one as he has one of the greatest rock voices out there and I can’t wait to see what he brings us this time around.
And then there is all the rest…
Foo Fighters – The Essential Foo Fighters – (Legacy Recordings)
Happy Friday! We have another batch of over 40 releases for you this week, but will any of them be talked about more than Taylor Swift’s new one? Probably not. However, that doesn’t mean she has the only important release because there is another one I will listen to probably more than hers. Yes, I will listen to hers as my girls are fans and I won’t be able to escape it. Let me know what you want to hear this week and what we may have missed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!\
Taylor Swift – Midnights – (Taylor Swift): She’s BACK!!! Taylor is knocking out albums faster than Aaron Judge was hitting homeruns. This one is supposed to be about dreams or nightmares she has had…or something like that. All I know are my kids are excited. And Taylor will sell more albums than anyone and she hasn’t even released one single for this album yet…as a result, no video to show. If I get up in this morning and there is one, I will update.
Stryper – The Final Battle – (Frontiers Records): Micheal Sweet and company are back again. Talk about putting out a lot of albums. Michael Sweet is a freaking machine. And I think the quality has been there so I am on board for another one. Bring it Mr. Sweet!!
Welcome to another Friday New Releases. We have a bunch here for you this week, I mean a ton…over 50 coming your way. I am sure there will be something for everyone on this one. Have a few I want to hear and I will mark those in Blue. Let me know what you want to hear this week and what we may have missed as that does happen believe it or not. I’m not as perfect as you think I am…really!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
And this one won’t have videos for all them as the time I’m writing, I’m still recuperating and still uncomfortable.
Skid Row – The Gang’s All Here – (earMusic / Edel Music & Entertainment): Skid Row is doing something they haven’t done since Sebastian Bach left the band and that is have people optimistically anticipating a new album. That is all because they now have Eric Gronwell (formerly of the band H.E.A.T.) as their lead singer. Hell, I want to hear it now as I love Eric. Can’t wait for this one.
Alter Bridge – Pawns & Kings – (Napalm Records): Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy return with another album. I will admit, I have been a little bored lately with their releases. Now, I love Tremonti releases and Myles solo stuff, but Alter Bridge has left me with a feeling somethings missing. Hopefully this will recapture some of the early magic.
Hey guys and gals! Happy Friday! We have another large list of releases for you this week. I will apologize upfront as there are not videos for all of the releases as I am writing this, I am recovering from surgery and it is rather uncomfortable so don’t feel up to a the full post, but at least want to get you a list of the top releases for the week. My choices are highlighted in Blue. Let me know what you are most looking forward to hearing this week and what we may have missed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend!!
Ellefson / Soto – Vacation in the Underworld – (Rat Pak Records): Jeff Scott Soto and former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson join forces for what I hope is a total beast of an album. It is cool sometimes to hear Soto go heavy. My review on this will be one of the last reviews in the Jeff Scott Soto Series so it will be awhile before we get to it.
The Cult – Under the Midnight Sun – (Black Hill Records / Round Hill Records): Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy bless us with another album as it has been 6 years since the last. Sign me up please!!
Wow! Another month in the books. 3 more to go before we finish out the year. Time flies by!! We end the month with a nice haul of well over 50 releases. I only want to hear a handful of these and they will be marked in Blue. Let me know what you want to hear this week and what we may have missed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend!
Richard Marx – Songwriter – (Shelter Music Group / BMG Rights Mgt): Can you believe Richard Marx is on his 13th Studio album. Crazy! But thankfully for us he is as I will always take new music from. I’ve been a fan of this pop artist since his mullet days! This album consists of songs in 4 different genres – pop, rock, country and ballads. Interesting.
Monster Truck – Warriors – (BMG Rights Mgmt): This Canadian hard rock, blues rock, southern rock band is back with another album. Have they run their course. I hope not, can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this time around.
Yesterday, I had my appendix removed…today is recovery and nothing better than new music. There is only one I want this week and it is on order. I hope it arrives soon. We don’t have as many releases as this week but we are still close to 50 new ones. Go through the list and tell us what you want to hear this week and let us all know if there is anything we might have missed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Billy Idol – The Cage E.P. – (BFI Records / Dark Horse Records / BMG): If you read this site regularly, then you already know this is my top choice this week. Billy Idol is back with another E.P. and after last year’s fabulous The Roadside E.P., I am excited about this one and first single “The Cage” is a promising start. Even we aren’t going to get a full album, I will gladly take an E.P. every year.
And the rest…enjoy…
Kelsea Ballerini – Subject to Change – (Black River Entertainment)
Friday, Friday, Friday!!! It is time for new releases and we have a few…okay, more than a few. There are well over 50 releases this week so I am sure you will find something. I only have one that I’m interested in and maybe will listen to a few more over time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend!
Smith/Kotzen – Better Days…And Nights (LIVE) – (BMG Rights): Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen are back and this time we get live and studio albums. You get 5 previously unreleased live tracks from theirTrans-Atlantic 22 Tour plus the four studio tracks featured on their sold out ‘Better Days’ vinyl EP!
And then all the rest…
Marcus Mumford – (self-titled) – (Capitol Records / UMG)
The Devil Wears Prada – Color Decay – (Solid State Records)
Michelle Branch – The Trouble with Fever – (Audio Eagle Records / Nonesuch Records)
Ringo Starr – EP3 E.P. – (Universal Music / Roccabella)
Happy Friday and we have a ton of releases for you this week with over 50+ new releases. I have a few I want to hear and definitely have purchased one of these so far and it is the first one on the list. Scan through and let me know what you want to hear this week or what we may have missed out on. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Kiss – Off the Soundboard: Des Moines 1977 – (UMe): Kiss on their 4th Soundboard release and I’m a little behind as I haven’t even listened to the last one and there is another one out…crazy. Maybe this will force me to open them both up and spin them. The other 3 have been from the reunion era or later. This is the first one with the classic line-up and I am excited to dive in to this one. Bring ’em on!
Robbie Williams – XXV – (Robert Williams / Farrell Music Ltd): Robbie Williams is now on his 13th studio album and it his 25th Anniversary as a solo artist. It is full of re-recorded and orchestrated versions of his biggest hits. Plus with the deluxe edition you get three new songs. A must for my collection.
September? Is it September already? No way! Impossible…yet here we are. It is Labor Day Weekend here in the States and that means not a ton of releases as most bands don’t want to compete with peoples travel money. However, we still have around 20 for you today down from the 40 to 50 we normally see. I actually have two I want to here and they are marked in Blue! Let me know what you want to hear and what we may have missed. I hope everyone has a great weekend as I know I will enjoy my 3 day weekend!!
Megadeth – The Sick, The Dying…and the Dead – (Universal Music): I can’t believe it has been 6 years since their last effort with the phenomenal, ‘Dystopia’. I really loved that album. A lot has happened with Covid and Ellefson’s firing, Dave’s health issues…a lot. Glad to have Dave back and can’t wait to hear what’s in store this time around.
King’s X – Three Sides of One – (InsisdeOutMusic): King’s X is a band I never really got in to, but that doesn’t mean anything. These guys are a band’s band…musicians love these guys and they should…super talented. I will give it a listen to see if it finally clicks for me as I have mad respect for them.
We are at the end of Summer, schools back in session and though still hot, we know Fall is just around the corner. Until it arrives, why don’t you pick up some new releases this week as there are a ton. We have over 50 for you this week and there are some good ones. There is only one for me this week and others I might get to eventually. My choice is first up. Let me know what you want to hear or what we may have missed. Thanks for stopping by this week and I hope you all have a great weekend!!
Will Hoge – Wings On My Shoes – (EDLO Records / Soundly Music): If you follow this site, you know I am a huge Will Hoge fan and I am super excited about this release. I got to hear one of these songs when I saw him in concert earlier this year and he was amazing. Can’t wait to throw this one on. It is a cross between Country, Americana with a little rock thrown in for good measure. If you don’t mind a little political and social commentary at time, this one is for you.
